Description: Nestled above the cliffs of Pentire Headland, looking out across the mighty Atlantic, The Lewinnick Lodge has probably one of the best coastal views anywhere in the county. Serving modern British food with an emphasis on fresh fish, the Lodge has long been established as the premier location to enjoy fine Cornish fare and hospitality. 'The Lodge' is open for breakfast from 8am and serves food throughout the day until 10pm (10.30Pm in the summer), everyday of the year. You can choose to dine in our restaurant, bar, beer garden or on the sun terrace - wherever the mood or occasion takes you! We offer modern British and world cuisine using the best local produce. Our ethos is simple, fresh seasonal produce, prepared on the premises by a team of talented chefs. We aim to cater for all tastes on our regular menus but if you are a lover of fresh fish and seafood then our twice daily changing specials will have you coming back time and again. We now also offer 10 stunning boutique style bedrooms so you never have to leave!

We have been several times when we come down to Newquay - but we always book ahead. this time we came with 17 of us and they couldn't have been more helpful. We all enjoyed our food (except one who is generally a bit of a plain foodie) and they looked after us extremely well. plus the location is superb with fabulous views. You can relax on the decking with a drink or eat outside if it isn't too windy. Definitely worth a try. It isn't cheap, but that isn't an issue if you know.

Having dined and drank here on a previous holiday and knowing it to be good, we went again this evening only to be very disappointed. Upon walking in the bar area was a mess with empty glasses stacked up on the bar. We ordered some drinks, including a glass of wine to be asked if we wanted ice in it. A strange question I thought but upon tasting my wine I realised why- it was lukewarm and I was not drinking red. I asked them politely if they had anything cooler to be told 'they had nothing colder when it's this busy'. No apology almost it was our fault for daring to expect wine to be served at the correct temperature on a busy day. It was 7.45pm on a Thursday so I dread to think what you would gt at 8-9pm on a Friday or Saturday. Eventually I got a slightly colder glass from the restaurant but this was clearly an effort. The diet coke was syrupy and when we went outside to sit on the deck the tables were littered with dirty glasses and food plates that the seagulls were dining from. Needless to say we did not have another drink and did not eat either. Rude service and poor cleanliness. They cannot justify their prices if this is what you get.

Average to poor food served slowly ( not enough staff on the evening we visited).Chablis was served warm, homemade mayonnaise was missing seasoning and seemed to be just egg and oil - disgusting. Beautiful view, go for a drink but avoid the food. Very overpriced and better is served in a wetherspoons pub. There are other restaurants in Newquay with a lovely view and decent food eg the boathouse at the harbour.

I have been going to the Lewinnick for years, sometimes for lunch, other times birthday dinners & sometimes just a coffee. Everyone is friendly, the food gets better - I always eat the fish specials & they have recently just got better & better. The place is modern & airy with great music in the background. Booking is recommended as with everywhere in Newquay in the middle of the summer season (i don't understand people whingeing about not being able to get a table when they're are just walking in - BOOK!!) I have worked in hospitality for a long time & everyone does a flawless job, polite staff, great ale, great food. Beautiful location!

We had taken a detour to Newquay to visit old friends and had not booked a restaurant but our friends who are local, recommended Lewinnick Lodge. Sadly when we arrived there were no tables available in the restaurant area but we were very lucky and managed to grab a table as a group were leaving. Location was wonderful although a bit overcast and wet. Atmosphere was great, very lively and given how busy the place was, the service was good. Food was very good and prices were as accepted. We would definitely visit again.
