“Perfectly located for touring.”

Really enjoyed our stay and the staff are a delight. Ok the hotel could do with an update but my husband and I are in business and appreciate the difficulties financially to do so. Take our advice and enjoy without being too picky. Bedroom and bathroom clean and sea view over Fistral beach brilliant. Breakfast tasty hot and plentiful. Last but not least we had a brilliant deal. Go and enjoy.
Thank you Pentire.

Stayed at the Pentire with a Just Go Holiday group and had such a lovely break here. My single room was small but had all I needed and was clean with restocked tea/coffee/milk etc every day including a shortbread biscuit. All the staff couldn't do enough for us and by the time I left I felt I was leaving friends behind. The food was excellent and top quality all but one thing which I must mention for a full truthful review, that was a chicken breast in a chasseur which was inedible but it was one blip in the whole stay. When I couldn't decide on dessert one evening they let me have both. Other than that the hardest thing was trying to make up my mind what to have from the great choices on the menu. I had time to fit in a few swims in the hotel pool and didn't have to worry about wet towels in my room as we collected one from reception than gave it back at end of swim.
As part of a coach party I have often found you can be treated rather as a second class guest at some hotels but not this one. All in all it is a great place to stay, not far from Newquay itself and walking distance to Fistral beach.

I was part of a coach party, we stayed at this hotel last week, the hotel facilties were good, the swimming pool, dining room good layout with clean napkins, cutlery etc... Quiet area, bar area, all good and the hotel staff throughout were excellent, nothing was too much trouble, and when my room was flooded from the room above, they immediatley changed my room.
Ample parking for cars and coaches. Food was excellent, we had loads of choices, of which were all very well cooked and presented.
The hotel decor was tired it needs a fair bit spent on it, Inside and out.

Room Tip: there are sea view in request

Firstly ALL the staff were really friendly and helpful.

The hotel and food was also good value for money.

The hotel itself however is in need of significant investment.

Some of the sea facing rooms have been done (we were in 312) but even these have been done 'on the cheap' with wiring still showing, no mattress covers, budget curtain track and curtains, uneven bathroom flooring etc. But for the price of the room it was adequate and clean.

We were originally put in an inside room - and this really was not up to scratch and should be avoided at all costs - as should rooms near the lifts as the soundproofing isn't the best either.

The corridors, general fixings and carpets all needed attention. but again it's a cheap hotel.

It does have a nice pool and very nice steam room - but again, let down by the changing rooms.

It would appear that most clients are either on coach trips (1 at a time ?) or on discounted holidays.

It is close to the end of Fistral Beach and about 20 mins walk into town and it served us well for a short touring Cornwall Break

We are pleased that you found every member of our hotel team really friendly and our food offered you good value for money. Coupled with our lovely coastal location, these are just some of the reasons why the vast majority of our guests return to stay with us regularly. We strive to provide a range of fantastic value breaks in Cornwall, and have a programme of investments and improvements taking place throughout the hotel.

My husband, son and I had a lovely weekend stay, the room was excellent with lots of space and a fabulous view of the sea, a travel cot was all set up ready and the bed was very comfy, nice and clean. Breakfast and dinner was delicious and plenty of it, all staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel is set in a great area with amazing Coastal headland walks, a bus stop is also outside the hotel which takes you into Newquay. After a lovely fun family walk and a play on the beach we decided to try out the indoor pool which was very nice and it also had a deluxe state of the art steam room which my husband loved. Overall we had a very lovely special weekend and will be returning, I'd recommend to all.

We stayed here on a 3 night break Mon-Thurs on 1st April, and we too thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We stayed on top floor in a double room with a seaview, a little extra per night but well worth it for the view over fistral beach. There are lovely walks from the hotel overlooking crantock and fistral beach. The staff are very friendly and we received excellent service at all times. Well done Pentire we would definately return.

Room Tip: Top floor ocean facing
