Had a meal here and loved it. They were very busy when we went but staff were still attentive. Loved the menu and the food was well cooked and well presented. Can recommend.

Hard to write about this place without getting furious about how utterly dire it was. Where to start? Presenting a menu all in Italian using words for which there are perfectly straightforward English translations is just the 2014 equivalent of those poncey French restaurants on the seventies and eighties. Honestly, it was embarrassing, and they try to carry it off with attempted haughtiness that makes it all the more pathetic. Digging past the pretentiousness, there was actually very little to choose from, and from what there was – almost 40 quid for a steak “but you do know it comes with nothing?” When it arrived the supposed delicacy was as tough as old boots. I ordered some pork chop that came out burnt outside but red raw and bleeding in the middle. Had to send it back twice, as did two others eating with us. Wine list much as you would expect from this kind of set-up. Nothing halfway decent at a sensible price, and organized in such a way that you need to be looking at 30-35 quid a bottle minimum for anything even decent by supermarket standards. It´s a disgrace, this place. The same formula as those up-themselves restaurants of yesteryear that you would have thought we had developed beyond, but here, because it´s Jamie and it´s faux-urban-by-the-sea-chic, people seem to fall for it. Ours was a 50th wedding anniversary meal for my parents, and honestly, it could barely have been worse. I can´t remember how many hundred quid it was for a table of six for a really embarrassingly poor meal in a place that clearly thinks it can get away with it. Truly dire – be warned, and steer clear.

We treated ourselves to some nice restaurants on our honeymoon and this one didn't disappoint. My husband is a bit of Jamie fan so was excited to visit, we had 5 course sampler menu everything was very nice - the fillet steak dish in particular, the lobster pasta was a little disappointing but overall we had a great time and lovely food, we was even treated to an extra dessert with congratulations written on the plate which was a nice touch. The restaurant design and location is also lovely
