“Still excellent - just not as 'wow' as last year!”
Reviewed August 3, 2014 via mobile

We love Jamie's fifteen and have made this part of our annual visit to cornwall. We chose cocktails at the bar to start, which was fun and treated wonderfully by the bar staff. Once seated I was a little disappointed as I had requested a window seat and this was not provided. We chose the 7 course taster which was delicious as always. Last year, we adored every single dish. A few minor things this year, such as the risotto being a little claggy, but overall delicious. The service was a little dry this year - staff seemed quite overworked and lacked spark which we had come to expect. Overall, still a wonderful experience with fabulous food in a beautiful setting. 9/10.

“Exceeded expectations, memorable meal”
Reviewed August 2, 2014

I'm not sure what I expected, perhaps more of a Jamie Oliver chain restaurant approach? But this was nothing like the Jamie's Italians etc. We couldn't quite manage the testing menus but the food looked wonderful. The other menu was imaginative, wine recommendations thoughtful, service knowledgable and attentive. Food cooked and presented beautifully. Views of Watergate bay and the sun setting made this even more spectacular. A perfect spot for a special occasion. Highly recommended. Booking ahead well in advance essential.

“Special birthday meal”
Reviewed August 2, 2014 via mobile

Had a fantastic meal choosing the five course taster menu with wine. The kids shared a taster menu and really enjoyed it. The views of the sunset made this a very special evening with great food.

“Just ok”
Reviewed August 2, 2014

Was a pleasant experience as always but there are better places to eat here. The Beach Hut and Zachary's offer a better experience in my opinion and I'm not sure Jamie Oliver has anything to do with this restaurants aside from lending his name to it , which may not be such a bad thing!

“Breakfast with a view”
Reviewed August 1, 2014

Booked the night before for breakfast - surprised to get a table by the window as it was high summer. Breakfast was good as usual. Had full fry £10.50, fresh orange juice £3.50 and pot of finca shekinah coffee £7.5 (you can easily get 5 cups out of this). Ask for extra milk if you like your coffee milky as I do otherwise the milk jug is tiny! Staff friendly especially our server Martin.
