“lovely rich nosh but quite pricey.”
Reviewed October 10, 2012

The food is gorgeous, we stayed for breakfast (what we could afford!) but it was well worth it. The quality of the food is rich, and full of flavour; true to Mr. Oliver's mouth watering dishes. I did download a PDF sample menu of dinner and lunch, and found the prices, I know the food is top notch, to be a bit on the expensive side, especially if tourists are on a budget, and in this current economic climate. Breakfast cost just under a tenner, per person.

Food excellent, service excellent and informative, we chose to have the drinks special which although makes the whole dinner more pricey was well worth it. A different wine for each course and different wines for each different menu choice. Fun and fabulous....................we loved it!!!! and we can be hard to please

“Disappointed by the hair in the mushrooms on toast”
Reviewed October 7, 2012

Based on the view alone I would rate this restaurant very highly! But sadly I was let down by my mushrooms on toast starter that had hair in it, as did one of my friends portion! We were told it what's due to the mushrooms being organic!!!! This is no excuse! They should be cleaned! I also found my main disappointing also, which was lentils and duck, I found it very dull and dry to taste! The company was fab , so we had a great time, but no thanks to the food! Sorry Jamie!
