Great hotel, ideally located for Cornwall south coast visits - in between Looe and Polperro.
Great hosts and the food is excellent from the wonderful cooked breakfast - all local produce - to the daily fresh catch menu - a visit to the fish market in Looe at 5.30am by the owners and a review of the menu at breakfast!!

We stayed at the Trelaske Hotel for two nights towards the end of July at the start of a mini tour of Cornwall. On our tour we stayed in five hotels and have to say that by far this one was the best in everyway.
The room was very spacious and had everything we needed; we even got to sit outside our room on the terrace, when the rain paused for a few hours.
The only disappointment is that not all guests enjoy the wonderful food provided in the restaurant and opt for just bed and breakfast. Based on our experience if you stay at this hotel and eat anywhere else, you are mad! The quality of food is excellent and produced locally, the service is superb and it is also incredible value for money.
The whole experience of our stay at the Trelaske was made even more special by Hazel, who is such a natural host and nothing is too much trouble.
If you are looking to stay in the Looe area this hotel is a must.

We had 5 nights at Trelaske at the beginning of August and were really pleased with the hotel. Hazel is friendly and goes out of her way to ensure you're happy. We had a lovely room with nice views where we could forget that we were in a hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable with a clean bathroom. The hotel is in an ideal location for exploring Looe, Fowey, St Austell and the Eden Project. The breakfast is lovely with great toast. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a quiet break.

My husband and I were very pleasantly surprised upon arriving at The Trelakse Hotel. The grounds are beautiful and the hotel is spacious and quiet. Our room was bright and airy with it's own balcony, a good size, had a very comfortable bed, modern well appointed bathroom with nice toiletries and good tea/coffee facilities. The proprietor was gracious and welcoming and could not be more pleasant and helpful.Breakfast was well organised with everything on offer fresh and delicious. We dined in the restaurant for dinner and it was another surprise ,our fish was so fresh , perfectly cooked and with delicious vegetables grown on the grounds. Deserts was very good too also with fresh rasberries from the garden. Special touches were all around , fresh flowers , candles, linen tablecloths and napkins. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel as it ticks all the boxes for quality and value for money.

Mum and I visited Trelaske Hotel recently. We both felt that it was probably the best hotel we have stayed in. Our room was like home from home with plenty of parking too. The food in the restaurant was excellent, we had intended on having one meal in the restaurant, but because it was so delicious and good value for money decided to have 3 out of the 4 evenings in the restaurant and that was just because the restaurant wasn't open Sunday evening. Thank you Hazel for making our stay so enjoyable. We didn't get to meet Ross, but compliments to the chef!! The food was amazing.

Choose Trelaske Hotel based on other's reviews and a warm telephone call with Hazel. The Hotel lived up to our expectations, super quiet position. Breakfasts good, evening meal first class in every way. Would certainly consider returning.
