We stayed in a cottage for 2 weeks, 2 adults and 3 children. Our stay was very good. Short distance to the beach and in a nice area. Phil and Mac (the owners) where very helpfull. We had some problems with our car and they assisted us for fixing the car. I can recomend this if you want to have a good relaxed holiday.

We arrived at Summercourt cottages to a warm welcome from Phil who promptly showed us round our cottage"the Stables" and showed us where the coast road and view of the sea was. This is just across the road but the views of open countryside from the cottages are just as stunning.
The cottage itself had a well equiped and spacious kitchen with a table for 4 and a good sized bathroom with bath and shower. The living room was very small but adequate with freeview tv,stereo and dvd player. There was double bedroom upstairs and a twin room downstairs both with plenty of drawers and hanging space.
Outside there was a large garden area with a washing line, plenty of tables and chairs and play apparatus and a large trampoline which our 2 kids aged 13 and 11 loved and also there was a play room with a football table and games and toys for all ages, there were also backets and spades, crabbing lines, nets and body boards to borrow.
We bought some free range eggs, some of which had been laid that day.
There was also a laundry room (£2 washer, £1 dryer) which was much appreciated after a day out mackerel fishing!
The only slight downside was that the lanes round the cottage are very narrow and so not safe to walk along and there is a steep hill to climb if you walk back from Looe so you need to use your car to go out but this was not an issue for us.
We wanted a clean, pretty and quiet base with Looe and a good beach (Seaton) a few minutes drive away and that was exactly what we got.

We have just returned from Cornwall - talking about how great choice we have made to go to Summercourt Cottage. For people who want calm area, good starting point for one day trips in Cornwall as well as walking paths there cannot be a better place.
You can choose one of few cottages - all of high quality (4*) and very cosy furnishing. Decent sized bedrooms, very agreable living room, but most of all the country like surroundings guarantee very good relaxation.
Also considering the small baby - having a separate cottage allowed us less stress regarding his early morning vary loud loughing marathons.
And max 1,5 hours drive to see all you can wish in Cornwall - St Ives, Eden, Haligan, castles, gardens, lighthouses, Monkey sanctuary 1/4 mile away.... Not enough time to see them all!
Just make sure you do not expect wild night life in the area or an easy way - sat nav is not your friend on the first arrival :)
