From the first contact by phone it felt right, Jean was warm and welcoming and staying three nights at the Dolphin with Jean and Peter (equally warm and welcoming) it proved to be very right.

I was sent a map and clear details of how best to find the ‘Dolphin’, advice on what to do on arrival, a town plan and list of places to eat (with recommendations)
The free allocated car parking space was much appreciated.

I had three great nights stay at the Dolphin with Jean and Peter, the perfect hosts!
Their lovely Victorian home is beautifully kept, providing you with everything you may need and seemingly nothing too much trouble to ask of them.

My room was spotless, it was en suite with tea/coffee/biscuits etc, the bed was beautifully ‘made up’ and unbelievably comfortable.
In addition to the above I had glorious views of the estuary to enjoy, either from my bedroom window, the guest lounge or the sun terrace.

What better way to start any day than with ‘The Dolphin breakfast’ – who could ask for anything more? Check out the beautiful bread!
Breakfast was brilliant, anything and everything you could want beautifully presented and sufficient to set you up for the day!

If you are considering visiting LOOE book in at the ‘DOLPHIN’

Room Tip: I think all rooms will please but my preference is with a view of the estuary

We stayed at Dolphin House for four nights over the bank holiday weekend last week.
We were greeted walmly, and showed to our very comfortable room, which was spotlessly clean. There was a good shower, and tea-making facilities/biscuits/bottled water. We had the best nights sleep EVER (and intend to buy a new matress now). The breakfast was superb and nothing was too much trouble. We would highly reccommend anyone to stay here. We intend to return later in the year.
Thanks Jean & Peter.

Room Tip: Great view from foom 5, but watch your head if your tall. lol. But still brilliant!

Just spent three nights in the wonderful hands of Jean and Peter. The room was just great; large and well-appointed with a very comfortable bed and a superb view of the river. Breakfast was all you could ask for. Don't know where Peter gets the bread but it is worth the overnight stay all by itself. The weather, which was no fault of Peters' was typical UK summer - rainy, windy and cool - but the accommodation more than offset what was going on outside. Lots of thoughtful touches all over the room and the house. Will be back in September and the Dolphin House will be my first choice. Jean and Peter were great hosts.

Room Tip: Room 1 has a great view.

We stayed for 4 nights and cannot fault the accommodation at all. Excellent breakfasts and lovely room with stunning view of the river. We would highly recommend a stay here. The rooms at the front of the property have great views over the river. One of our party is coeliac but this was not a problem and was happily accommodated.

I am sitting in my room writing this review on the last night of my stay. I can see the river out of the window it is totally relaxing and far better than TV. Food wonderful; hosts Peter & Jean fabulous food of great quality. The only drawback: we have to return home tomorrow. Thanks Mr & Mrs Cox.

This is an fantastic B/B; we wanted a comfortable place to stay and this is it. Lovely room(No 1) with great views of the estuary and the bridge.Free parking is part of the package. A lovely breakfast (try the hogs pudding!) sets you up for the day. Jean & Peter were great hosts and helped us with advice on walks, restuarants etc.(Good food at the Salutation). All in all,a great stay and we will return.

Room Tip: Chose rooms at front for good views.
