My brother and I have just completed our third visit. As I stated in previous reviews, Ancarva, is equipped with everything you may need, it is beautifully presented with a lot of attention to detail. The little extra touches of fresh flowers, cream teas, milk and a bottle of wine were very much appreciated after a long drive. The location is ideally suited to touring Cornwall.Communication with Simon and Jacqui is easy and their descriptions of the facilities is totally accurate. Highly recommend the cottage and we look forward to returning for our fourth visit
Spent a wonderful month at this superbly equipped cottage in Perranwell. The location is perfectly situated. It is less than a10 minute walk from the train station with a grocery store close by and the wonderful Royal Oak pub across the street.
Jacqui and Simon were very attentive to all our needs and the hospitality throughout the month of September was outstanding.
The kitchen is more than well-equipped which allowed us to eat in quite often during the month. The accommodations are five star plus. The furnishings are beautiful, the bed with the luxurious sheets and duvet were super comfy. The cottage was immaculate which was very important to us. We especially appreciated the special touches such as the pre laid fire and cream tea upon our arrival.
The train was our only mode of transportation for the month and we were able to see all of the surrounding areas with ease. We did not miss having a car.
No need to worry about a rainy day as the cottage is filled with good books, games, cable TV, DVR, and tourist information. Ancarva exceeded our expectations and made for a very memorable 50th anniversary trip. Jacquie and Simon were very accommodating hosts and made our stay “the trip of a lifetime”.
We highly recommend staying at this quaint cottage in Cornwall.
Great location near Falmouth and perfect for exploring the area. The cottage is tastefully furnished & spotlessly clean. The owners really go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. Perfect for couples.
Located in a pleasant little village close to well stocked store/post office, super village pub (Royal Oak) good food, friendly staff this little cottage was a real find
Close by is the Norway a super eating pub. Easy access to many beaches, coastal walks and gardens
The accommodation is very clean, comfortable and welcoming. There were fresh scones cream and jam waiting for us along with a nice bottle of sparkling wine
Jacqui and Simon have thought of everything slippers, dressing gowns and soft fluffy towels. Thank you both for a relaxing stay. As we already said we hope to return to recharge our batteries again in the not too distant future
Great little cottage, beautiful little garden, the best equipped little kitchen, snug little living room with comfy little chairs, little stairs lead to fantastic little rooms with five star bedding after a day of little walks to picturesque little places. Perfect.
Great cottage - perfectly equipped, even with washing machine.
It is very well decorated and you really feel at home.
We did not meet our hosts but they provided us every information we needed.
They left us fantastic Cornish scones for perfect cream tea.
Thank you for everything!
I'd like to keep this gem of a find secret but that wouldn't be fair. The amazing kind hosts have thought of everything . Perfect location in a village near transport , village store , pub with great food so busy need to book so never managed to get there . Beautiful tranquil garden , my daughter age 6 loved the use of the body board and loved her bedroom . Quality furnishings , beautifully decorated even bed time story books , everything you could need to make or bake ! Clotted cream Cornish cream tea on arrival , log burner set ready just to light . We will definitely be back . Everything we wanted to see about 45 minutes away, st Ives , padstow , Eden project ( warning crazy busy like rush hour on the london underground , squashed in the domes , que to get in and out , ) beautiful interesting place but very busy in august on a rainy day ! Falmouth beach and village 10 minutes away and spend full days there too . Loved it ! Just perfect my only comment if driving , stay around on your last day making the most of the beautiful cornwall and leave at night , it took us 17 hours instead of 7 1:2 splitting the journey and travelling through the day . We love love love this cottage and location !
