“A perfect gem”

You must visit, leave loads of time and make sure you eat in the cafe - it's ace!
The giant rhubarb is massive and they have some bamboo that grows at over 8" a day - perfect for my nosy neighbours. The signposting could be better.

We visited Trebah in September, before the trees really started to turn, It was a magical experience from the minute we entered the garden and looked down into the lush valley below. Our dog was welcome too which is always a real bonus as we like to take her with us. The ticket price was £8.50 which included free returns for a week!
We ate in the cafe on two occasions and were not disappointed. The menu was comprehensive and good value with something for everyone, kids included.

“Our favourite”

We visited three gardens in Cornwall: Trebah, Helligan and Eden. We found Trebah enchanting and relaxing. The hydranger valley probably the most striking feature at this time of year, but the whole fern gulley feel leading down to private beach was amazing.
Helligan is bigger, interesting but did not quite create the same atmosphere but has a large immaculate kitchen garden if that is of particular interest.
Eden is a different experience. Fantastic for:scale of endevour, educational value, community benefit, wet weather facilities. Educational message a bit patronizing for experienced gardeners hence the mixed reviews

I am a keen gardener and enjoy visiting a variety of gardens. This garden is an absolute joy to visit! You walk around it and there are nooks and crannies [modern term is 'Rooms' I suppose but thet were not invented then!] that surprise and delight at every turn! Allow 3 hours for your visit......Meal in Restaurant [excellent food at good value], walk around the gardens and back, an ice cream at the beach and some minutes to eat it whilst sitting down and enjoying the peace and quiet of the estuary view, then some minutes in the shop to buy the plants that you liked etc.

“Eden Project? What's that again?”
Reviewed September 21, 2012 via mobile

If you are planning a visit to the Eden project then consider a visit here first, it is cheaper and much more interesting.
