Please, please, please don't be put off by the slightly brash decor or the very eccentric front of house manager, he means well honestly! This restaurant has recently changed hands and what now comes out of the kitchen is head and shoulders above the previous incarnation of Del Mar 2. The chef is from Naples and makes everything fresh himself right down to the desserts. He is lovely and very eager to please and often comes out of the kitchen to make sure people have enjoyed the food. We ate here twice at the end of June and had super meals on both occasions with the fresh scallop fish of the day being a real treat on our second visit. This is not another dodgy "Italian" chain but proper cooking with fresh ingredients.
