On Friday we went to the Gem Fish and Chip Restaurant in Falmouth. This place knocks the spots off so many other places we have been. The Gem is located directly opposite the Quarry Car park in Falmouth, a perfect location no worries about parking. The restaurant itself is not huge, therefore the service is really good. You are actually greeted and shown to a table all very personnel and very pleasant. You order your food and it is served after a short wait. The fish is out of this world we both had Cod and chips the batter was just right, nice a crispy, .the fish, you know how cod used to fall away in large white slices. well that's just how it is there . Perfect done to a turn. The chips were just the right amount, not too many that you feel bloated, and all served with bread and butter, and a pot of tea. which they offered to top up. This little place offers terrific service and a very pleasant family atmosphere. We will make this a regular place to go when we are in Falmouth.

These are the best fish and chips around. The cod is beautiful and flaky. The whole meal is delicious. In fact we go to Falmouth purposely for our F&C meal.

We have just returned home from Pendennis Point after eating our Fish and chips in the car, as alway fresh fish cooked in clean oil and well presented.
We have been going to the gem since they opened and can say that they our the best in Falmouth, Fridays wouldn't be the same without a trip to The Gem.

The gem is tucked away near the moor. The quality of fish and chips is outstanding and as a sit down experience the meals are a delight. Friendly staff and quick service make this hidden gem a must visit. I eat their every time I visit falmouth (at least once a month)

It's always a treat to have fish and chips from The Gem. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the food is cooked to order. Everyone should try the Moby (an extremely large cod), it is huge and my hubby always has one! Excellent value for money and the best fish and chips in town
