Had a two night break at this hotel recently and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and nicely furnished, bathroom bright and modern, towels white and fluffy. The bed was really comfortable but the best bit was the view.... I have never walked into a hotel room and gone WOW!! It was definitely worth paying extra for it as the other rooms without it face the road and would be noisy.

Room Tip: Any room with a view is worth having

We stayed just the one night at August Bank Holiday. The Greenbank is a typical slightly run down English seaside hotel trying to be better than it really is. The outside terrace is nice and the bar is comfortable, but I would expect someone to come and serve me! The hotel corridors are increasingly smelly the further you get from the foyer. We had reduced rate non harbour view bedrooms which were OK, but we had a Superking size and our friends a pokey Queen sized bed for the same rate? The bathrooms are dated and the plastic baths cracked. Breakfast was a good effort - reasonable buffet spread to start. Cheap water impregnated bacon and definitely not local artisan sausages, microwaved haddock and kippers but efficient friendly service. Needs money spending on it to achieve greatness!

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review, I am sorry that some aspects of the hotel did not meet your expectations.

We have a constant and ongoing maintenance programme in the hotel to refurbish and improve all of our rooms and public areas. Our Maintenance Manager has personally been in to the rooms and will take note of your comments in our plans.

I would however like to stress that our sausages are indeed handmade in Cornwall from a very good local company used by many of the top hotels in Cornwall so again apologies if they were not to your taste.

Fantastic location opposite the harbour and a short walk away from central Falmouth (and loads of restaurants). Parking is available directly outside and there's also a car park around the back. The room was spacious, clean and decorated well and the bathroom had both a bath and a shower with lovely big fluffy towels! The only negative was the lack of a hair dryer in the room and carpet in the bathroom. Breakfast was amazing- a buffet plus anything cooked you want! All the staff were efficient (fastest check-in I've ever encountered at a hotel!) and really friendly. Would definitely come again.

Room Tip: Get a harbour view room

we held our wedding here in august and they really done us proud. zara and her team made sure the day went smoothly . the food was excellent and the portions were good sized , and of coarse location on the side of the harbour with its great views of the boats and the estuary just put the icing on the cake ,we had a lovely day .then we stayed in one of the harbour facing rooms lovely and spacious and of coarse the view when u wake up .the hotel is only a couple mins walk from falmouth town center

Room Tip: pick harbour view room u wont be dissappointed

I would recommend a harbour view room, for fantastic views over Flushing. A very nice hotel, loved the bar with all the comfy sofa's. Only a 10 minute walk from Falmouth town centre. The hotel was a bit of a labyrinth with all the hallways, but that didn't spoil the fun....

Stayed one night with my elderly father who was keen to visit Falmouth Maritime museum. Hotel is over 400 yrs old but we had large, beautifully appointed room with wonderful view across harbour. Nice bathroom with accessible shower but yet again nothing to hold on to & staff couldn't locate a non-slip mat to enhance safety for Dad. A power outage put a dampener on breakfast but it was fully refunded. A challenge was the rabbit warren of corridors and fire safety doors which wouldn't be a problem for able bodied travellers. Short walk along waterfront to this gorgeous town.

Room Tip: Harbour view is wonderful.

A fantastic place to stay. The restaurant had lovely views overlooking the harbour and the food was great. We really enjoyed our stay -very relaxing with the boats bobbing up and down. A shame that the service was not as good. The room lacked an information booklet and when I wanted a drink from the mini bar-no bottle opener. The staff were friendly but the added extras were not there! A great place to stay though and we will definitely go back if we get the chance.
