“A Little Windswept”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

We enjoyed our trip out with Orca. The guide, Steve, was really knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. Steve worked really hard to get to the best places and give us the best opportunity of seeing wildlife. We saw plenty of birds and had a brief glimpse of a seal!
Thought the trip was really great and good value for money - it also includes free entry to the maritime museum, which is a nice bonus!

“Great boat trip”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

We were very lucky to have been in the midst of a pod of about 20 to 30 bottlenose dolphins on our trip last Saturday. It was fantastic and Steve the captain was very informative.

“Fun trip”
Reviewed May 12, 2013 via mobile

Had a great trip. Weather not great and little sea life. Nothing organisers can do on that. Made to feel very welcome and a thrilling experience riding the waves. Had a great time dispite the wildlife being on holiday. Defrosted in museum which is very good and has a cafe to help the process.

“great scenery”
Reviewed April 22, 2013

Very informative experience, learnt a lot and did not realise that there were so many ship wrecks around the cornish coast. Obviously the wild life is hit and miss, didn't see any dolphines or seals but plenty of bird life. Seeing the birds (gannets and cormans, if i am right) dive down to catch a fish is an impressive sight. Very enjoyable day out, some advice though, wrap up warm, hats and gloves are a must, a scarf is also a good idea. Sunglasses also help to avoid spray getting in your eyes. Make sure to use the free entry to the maritime museum as well. Lovely hot chocolate to warm up with after.

“Not really expecting that”
Reviewed September 7, 2012

I went with my elderly parents and was worried about access and also comfort. Steve the skipper could not have been more helpful and helped my Mum and Dad suit up and get comfortable on the amazing boat, felt a bit James Bond!

Whilst we did not see any whales we certainly enjoyed seeing the dolphins and bird life, some of the people on the boat cried when we saw the dolphins and to be honest that made the experience even more vivid.

In fact the tour of the coast with a really informative narrative was for me more enjoyable than seeing the dolphins and seals. The coastline was amazing and the boat seemed to positively relish the rather rough sea conditions and whilst we got a bit wet the suits kept us warm.

Our only complaint with the day was getting a parking ticket and I wish we had used the park and float which included all day parking, my Mum and Dad could easily have coped with the walk and I thing the Orca people should have made this clear.

All in all a highlight of our visit to Cornwall and only wish the parking warden had not been quite so quick with his tickets, which by the way I am not paying!
