The assumption was that we would be paying over the odds for the Rick Stein brand. We thought that the two course lunchtime special sounded OK and went for it. The service was slick and the food was delicious - beautifully crisp batter and melt in your mouth haddock, with excellent mushy peas and tartare source, and plentiful chips. The panacotta to follow was excellent. Thursday is the day that the Lizard Stallions Carriage Company were outside and a pleasant carriage ride for 20 minutes was ideal for letting the meal go down ! Happy to recommend.

After reading the reviews we went to the restaurant with some trepidation. We had nothing to fear. We both had traditional cod and chips with mushy peas and tartare sauce. Batter nice and crisp. They happily provided bread and butter at a very small extra charge. We thoroughly enjoyed the food. Only complant - the cost of the drinks

Went to the restaurant at about 20.30hrs quite busy we got a seat at the window not to good as people look in at you.
The food was good but the price of fish and chips are a little over the top. The waiter was up himself talking to us like we shouldn't be there. So that put us off from going back. The Chardonnay we had with the fish was nice.

On arriving we were taken to a table by the window with a back on the chair, other tables just had bench seats, did not look very comfortable, for the 70 year old.

Our meal was very tasty well cooked the fish was so fresh too, it just melted in the mouth, on of the best meals in a fish restaurant.

Next time in Falmouth we will go again.

My wife and I had a meal at this restaurant on the spur of the moment. We had a "traditional" Fish and Chips meal - my wife had Plaice, I had Haddock. The fish was pleasant, accompanied by absolutely dire chips. Nothing special here. The meal was accompanied by tartare sauce and a tablespoon of luke warm peas. The whole bill including two soft drinks was £30. Expensive to say the least. This wasn't the quality that we expected from the name "Rick Stein". In fact, our local fish and chip shop provided a far better meal at less than half of the cost. Not good and it will be the last time that we go there.
