The Lower Deck is simply and stylishly furnished - spotlessly clean, well equipped and in an ideal location. The owners, Lynne and Nigel, were very welcoming (on arrival we were greeted with a lovely cream tea and fresh flowers) and they gave us lots of tips about good places to eat, drink and visit.

We were lucky to have perfect weather and had a very relaxing week..

The Lower Deck is a lovely home from home and we will certainly return for another visit.

“Ideal place for 2 people”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 10, 2013 for a stay in April 2013

We stayed in the Lower Deck for 5 days in April it was ideal. The flat is perfectly equipped with everything you need. We loved its proximity to restaurants, waterfront, beaches, & the town centre. The flat is immaculately clean & fully equiped, even DVD's books etc if the weather is not good! Lynne and Nigel were always helpful when needed . We highly recommend the Lower Deck to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in Falmouth. Everything was exactly as described on the website.
we will cetainly be returning

“Excellent location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 1, 2013 for a stay in March 2013

We had a 4 night stay in this compact garden flat. Suited to a couple, altho' the kitchen was pretty small, and cooking readily set the smoke alarm off ! So fine if you plan to eat out every evening. The fridge didn't have an icebox, which could be a problem in the summer if you were looking forward to a G&T in the garden, or even if you'd bought ice cream etc. But an excellent location with a vast range of restaurants within a five minute walk, and the beaches and coast paths accessible direct from the flat. It was well/tastefully furnished, altho' a reading light and coffee table in the lounge would have been nice. It was chilly weather when we stayed, and the flat was cosy, altho' a heater in the bathroom wouldn't have gone amiss. The owners were away when we stayed, but their daughter welcomed us and scones and cream were waiting for us when we arrived, which is a nice touch.

Management Response
May 9, 2013
Thank you for your positive comments about The Lower Deck and its excellent location. We're sorry you had problems with the smoke alarm. It is of course a necessary safety feature. Usually, any nuisance can be minimised by switching on the cooker extractor fan and most of our guests cook regularly without difficulties. The larder fridge is clearly described on the website and there are two bedside lamps for reading by as well as a large selection of books.Thank you for your other suggestions; we constantly review and update the property with the comfort of our guests in mind. We'll trial the addition of a coffee table this year.

“Perfect Location to Explore Falmouth and Cornwall”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 27, 2013 for a stay in January 2013

We stayed in the Lower Deck for the month of January and it was delightful. The flat is perfectly equipped with everything you'd need for a short or longer stay. We loved its proximity to the train station, waterfront, beaches, high street, and grocery stores. There is also an extensive movie collection, which came in handy! Lynne and Nigel were a helpful local resource when we needed one and were responsive to any requests we had. We'd highly recommend the Lower Deck to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in Falmouth. Everything looked just as it did in the photos!

“Ideally situated and only 5 minutes from the centre of Falmouth”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 31, 2012 for a stay in May 2012

The Lower Deck is a 'basement' garden flat which is ideal for a couple and is convenient to the town. The flat has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. It has a 1 woman/man kitchen and it is essential to keep the bi-fold doors closed when cooking (smoke detector). There is a nice little sitting-out area for 'sundowners'. It is close to the railway line but as the line is in a cutting and not busy, you hardly notice the trains. Parking is on-road and spaces can be hard to find but was never a problem.
