“Wonderful food experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 20, 2013

Went for lunch and what a wonderful food experience this was. Excellent selection - great as it provides an excuse to go back a few times. Well cooked, well prepared and mouth-waveringly delicious. Top marks.
If you want meat and two veg, try their Sunday lunch but for a special food experience try some of their outstanding African inspired recipes.

“Warm and friendly”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 11, 2013

Went for Sunday lunch as a family .We had not booked but were made more than welcome , staff were lovely and its was very child friendly. The food was excellent and very resonable ,we will definately return the next time we visit Falmouth , and I would have no problem reccomending Amanzi to others.

“Nice menu but Not wowed by the results”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 7, 2013 via mobile

It was friendly and warm environment but I felt a little disappointed by the standard of the food. It started well with an impressive entree of shell on prawns in a hot and tasty chilli sauce. However the size of the prawns was completely diminished by the minuscule and straggly mussels that followed in a watery onion broth. I expected more from this main dish. My partner on the otherhand chose all meat dishes. A well flavoured beef potted in a crusty bread roll but again let down by a rack of ribs which looked impressive enough in size but had a bitter tasting marinade. Both meals served with limp, tasteless potato wedges. Although the food wasnt horrendous, I wouldn't want to go back.

“Amazing Sunday roast!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 3, 2013

I always use trip advisor to decide where to eat or stay. Today I just saw the sign outside Amanzi advertising roast. We had left a cheap pub because there was an hour wait on the mediocre looking food. SO glad I did. I've never felt the urge to write a review until now. I was disappointed the beef had sold out but even so, the Pork was very tasty, tender and with some lovely crackling. The roasties were gorgeous and the gravy was rich and delicious. It came with red cabbage, carrots and lovely cheesy leeks. One of the best roasts I have had anywhere, and only £10. I am already looking forward to coming back to Falmouth to try the beef!
