“A Gem!”
Reviewed February 6, 2014 via mobile

We have been meaning to visit for about two years and finally tonight we sampled the amazing jewel of Falmouth! It was everything and more than we expected! A personal touch that almost every other restaurant these days lacks, friendly staff and warm, comfortable surroundings from the start (they even allowed us to take our dogs which is a rarity!) thank you Tina, I know it was an ask but we really appreciated it. x. Brilliant, genius menu, simple and perfect. We have already booked for our next visit in May. This is the sort of place we have always been looking for! Thank you Tina, Matt and all the great staff, you have it spot on. We live in Sussex and would love to have somewhere like this, we will just have to wait til the next time it seems! Can't wait.

“We are becoming regulars!”
Reviewed January 21, 2014

We visited on the off chance from a recommendation and had 'the little table by the door'. An honest quote from the restaurant on the only table available.

The setting is unique. The atmosphere is infectious. The service is impeccable and very personal. The food is simple but exquisite.

We have been back as a group and found it to be as attentive and delicious as the first time with complimentary night caps, which is a lovely touch.

Being fairly local we are definitely going to be a regular visitors.

“A different experience - worth trying”
Reviewed January 11, 2014 via mobile

Much has been said already about the focus on scallops, oysters, crab etc, and if you like seafood you'll love this place. The wine list is red or white, but the white is very good and at about £13 is very reasonable. Service is great, the kitchen is in full view. Payment in cash. I loved the oysters and the scallops. The crab was a little overcooked but that's a very small criticism of what is now a Falmouth institution and destination for many. Dress to get messy if you are having the crab - though aprons are provided.
