“A Good Dog Friendly Place To Eat”
Reviewed June 25, 2014

We ate here a couple of times while on holiday in the area. When we asked if it was ok to bring the dog we were told that she was more than welcome outside and inside. Once seated several members of staff came over to make a fuss of the dog bringing a bowl of water and treats for her. The staff were also very friendly and helpful towards us too. The food was good and the service excellent. We would definitely recommend a visit if you are in Falmouth (especially if you have a dog with you).

“Cheerful place but food was average”
Reviewed June 18, 2014

This bar has a great location, two nice outdoor seating sections and a cheerful interior. The service was very warm and friendly. The food was just ok - we ate burgers and sandwiches, which were fairly standard and not particularly memorable.

“Great atmosphere”
Reviewed June 16, 2014

Visited with friends on Sunday Fathers Day, so we'd knew it would be busy, also with Sea shanty festival on. We were lucky to get a table out in the bAck courtyard which proved to be just perfect for late lunch. We all ordered roast dinners, luckily I had the nut veggie roast ,but we did notice that the pork roast dinner was in fact just two pieces of grilled pork, not the real slices of pork cut off a pork roast, and no pork crackling. A bit disappointing. The place had a good atmosphere and was obvious very popular. I did notice other meal choices looked good. We eat with our eyes don't we.
All in all we had a good experience and enjoyed the sea shanties.

“Watch out for the sauce !!”
Reviewed June 14, 2014

As one of the locations for singers at the Falmouth Sea Shanty Festival the music was great, a good selection of beers and a great atmosphere the next thing on the agenda was supper, as we have eaten here many times we knew we in for a good feed. Service was excellent and we could sit and watch our food being prepared through the glass fronted kitchen area, one of the the cooks was diligently preparing a sauce and religiously tested it at every major point
WITH HIS FINGER. We ate what we ordered (fortunately no sauce) and when paying mentioned to the waitress what we had seen, dont worry she said he probably used a different finger each time, I wonder what Environmental Health would say !!!!
