Really delicious food although I tend to agree with many other reviewers that the portions are small but fine for lunch when we visited. As so many people have commented on the size it might be time for management to take note!

“Pricing vs portion size”
Reviewed June 1, 2014

First visit to this restaurant in a lovely location. We were warmly welcomed and settled on the comfy sofas whilst reading the menu: not extensive but sufficient for us both to choose from. Unfortunately neither of us like undercooked pink fish which turned up for my husband's river trout starter. I chose my favourite scallops and one of them was decidedly grey. Not a good start but regrettably nobody asked us for our comments. Unusual I thought as our plates were still quite full of uneaten food. We fared better with our mains. My husband's steak was perfectly cooked and my John Dory was delicious. We both felt the portion size was small for the cost of the meal. More veg would have done the trick.

“The Best!”
Reviewed May 29, 2014

Have been visiting this restaurant for many years and it just keeps getting better! You have to try it to appreciate it. Try the Strips of Cornish Fillet of Beef with melted Blue Cheese in a homemade roll.....delicious !!! Thoroughly recommend it. And the staff and service are excellent.

“Good food”
Reviewed May 28, 2014

Went on a weekday evening, out of season (May) - it was quiet early on but got busier later, which improved the general atmosphere.
The food was excellent - well cooked, presented, and served. Attentive but unobtrusive service and a great setting - looking out over the stormy sea.
Would recommend.

“Good food and nice position”
Reviewed May 28, 2014

Good food, nice position, but £22.00 for a bottle of Muscadet is a bit steep! Lovely outlook in the evening with excellent service. Not the best value for money, but it's not too bad for the quality of the food.
