Arrived about 4pm for an early tea with family who were visiting. Welcome was good, staff very attentive and friendly. Food was very good too. There is an excellent range of food available with interesting starters, lots of fish, tasty risottos and all the pub classics. One of our favourite places to eat in the area.

Visited recently I ordered the roast beef lunch it was superb
we had pre drinks in the bar area and coffee afterwards in the bar area with a real log fire
I have visited once before on a Saturday evening and that was also superb

Had a lovely child free day out to Chester. I'd already see this place on trip, and it is every bit as good as people say. Beautiful food we had the lamb shank and the duck breast delicious. We plan to return bringing the family a.s.a.p.

Visited the Goshawk today for lunch. It is a really excellent establishment. The whole place has an air of nostalgia for how good pubs used to be. Classic pub decor to a high standard, plenty of room and prompt friendly service. We fancied the Sunday roast but the choice today was beef or lamb neither of which we like. We chose pork loin from the main menu and it was excellent. The food took a little time to arrive but was well worth the wait, food of this quality takes time to prepare. We will certainly call at The Goshawk again when in the area.
