“Cosy little getaway in Chester”
Reviewed February 21, 2018 for a stay in February 2018

Nice little terraced cottage in a secluded courtyard but close enough to walk to the centre or city walls and river. Free parking included which is great as you can park up and walk to all the places you need to within Chester. Everything we needed was provided, including basic provisions - such as milk and prosecco. We walked the walls and along the river, looked around the shops and 'rows' all about 10 minutes walk away. Lots of pubs and restaurants to choose from, with helpful tips and contact details left by Rod in the cottage. The Storyhouse was a nice place to wander to for an evening to watch a film. Rod was friendly and attentive, sorting out promptly a blip, we created, with ease. Thoroughly recommend.

“Outstanding!”
Reviewed February 12, 2018 for a stay in February 2018

This is a fabulous cottage, brilliantly situated 90 seconds' (downhill) stroll from the river Dee, the medieval bridge and the start of the walls. The interior is delightful, with every need catered for, and Rod, the owner, is a star. Prosecco, fruit, milk, coffee all waiting. Wonderful pubs and restaurants literally within 2 to 3 minutes walking distance, the old centre of Chester - Cathedral, Roman amphitheatre and gardens - a short wander along the walls. We cannot recommend this cottage highly enough.

“Just what we needed!”
Reviewed February 7, 2018 for a stay in February 2018

Fantastic property, it's location is second to none. Right in the centre of town yet hidden in a quiet little courtyard. The amphitheatre and cathedral are both within walking distance. The flat has been furnished with everything you could need and to a high standard. The owner Rod has thought of everything like maps, parking permits and even prosecco & fruit on arrival! He is a great host and answers phone calls/emails quickly. We travelled as a family of 5 (2adults, 2 children, 1 baby and a dog) but would also recommend it for couples. We shall return again!

“Lovely, quiet cottage, and very helpful owner!”
Reviewed February 4, 2018 for a stay in February 2018

We had a weekend trip to Chester for a family wedding. A very comfortable stay at Gamul Place, which is very near the centre of Chester and a very quick walk down the hill to the River Dee and ancient town walls. The cottage isn't large, but had everything required to make our stay hassle free and was very clean. Beds are very comfortable! Rod was brilliant at giving information at the right time in the lead-up to our stay, and went the extra mile in offering to find someone to sit with our dogs for Saturday evening. A great cottage and an exceptional service from Rod! Thank you.

“Best Airbnb Experience”
Reviewed January 16, 2018 for a stay in January 2018

The cottage is in an excellent location right in the town center, with a few old pubs right around the corner and an italian restaurant. We were feeling cold in the middle of the night and Rod replied us almost immediately to teach us how to switch on the heater. Place is amazing as well, beds are really soft and comfortable and it is sparkling clean. I particularly liked the board games provided as well. Kitchen amenities are one of the most extensive I've ever seen. There's even free milk, jellybeans and prosecco! Thank you!

Thanks for your kind review Elly, I'm really pleased you enjoyed the cottage and your visit to Chester. Yes a little colder in the UK than Singapore - normally my guest ask how to turn the heating down :)
