Well equipped with excellent facilities including great wifi and quality beds and pillows. Walking distance to all central attractions, pubs and restaurants.
Third visit and still fab. Cottage clean and well equipped. Extra touches such as milk, coffee, fruit and especially the Prosecco are most welcome. What really makes a difference is that Rod is so prompt answering enquiries both before and during our visits. Chester is a beautiful city and staying within the walls in such a quiet, comfy cottage is just perfect.
We had an amazing 2 nights in Gamul place. The cottage was cosy and well presented with everything we needed for our stay. Rod communicated with us promptly both before and during our stay. The extra touches such as the prosecco and fresh fruit were really appreciated. The location couldn't be better, just a few minutes walk from the centre of Chester. We always managed to park right outside Gamul place - but just remember to put the appropriate parking permits in your car to cover how long you are outside for, we had no issues with parking wardens but understand they will soon pounce if you go over the permit time. All in all - a fantastic few days and would definitely return
We had a lovely stay at Rod's beautiful house in a beautiful setting off one of Chester's 'signature streets' - a great sense of calm, easy to live in, ideal for access to the park, river and Groves - easy walk into town, some fine pubs in the locality as well. Rod was quick to respond and helpful at all times. Highly recommended!
This cottage is in a perfect location right in the heart of the city. Parking was not an issue as Rod sorted out parking permits for us and we managed to score a space right outside. We were in Chester for the races and the cottage is in easy walking distance to the course even in my high heels!. The little touches the owner provided, milk, fresh fruit, etc went above and beyond what we have come to expect when booking self catering accommodations and was a really lovely touch.
Thank you for a lovely weekend
We stayed at the cottage for a long weekend and we're not disappointed. The location is excellent, in the centre of Chester but quiet due to being in a courtyard off the main road. The parking space was welcomed and the facilities in the cottage were perfect. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely use the cottage again, and recommend to others.
Had a wonderful time in Chester and this cottage was just the job for mum and I. Lovely accommodation, parking great (right outside), perfect location for walking to all the sights and shopping, plus two minutes from a brilliant craft ale pub that serves great food too. The owner (Rod) was a gentleman and very responsive to any queries, he sorted the parking permit and checked we were okay. Milk, cereal, fruit and prosseco plus bathroom toiletries all left for us to use. We will probably be back as I can't imagine getting a better place/location for the price.
