We ate here last night to celebrate my husband's birthday and it was truly a memorable evening. We waited in the lovely upstairs bar with a beer and a glass of wine until our table was ready where we had the wines and various cuts of steak explained to us so we could make the best decisions on what to order. We ordered an 8oz delmonico for me and a bone-in ribeye for my husband and they were both absolutely delicious - thick and juicy and cooked to perfection. The waiter recommended one portion of the triple-cooked chips between us and he was right, we didn't need more. I had a side of iceberg wedge with a blue cheese dressing which was just the right size and offset the steak perfectly. My husband had no room for a pud after his huge steak but I managed to eat a yummy slice of lemon tart which had a crispy topping and came with pureed raspberries. We drank a bottle of Argentine malbec and tottered out into a rainy Chester evening having had a wonderful experience in a great restaurant.
