It was a very nice evening. We went to eat Italian food in the center of Chester UK.

I ate tagliatelle Alla Bolognese with a glass of Merlot.
It was delicious.
We came early so it was not crowded - when we left it was almost full (on Monday evening)
The Italian waiter was very good but it seems like he's angry all the time... Maybe it is just the Italian culture :-)

Went here a Sunday lunchtime and had no problem getting a table as we hadn't booked. The restaurant has a lovely feel and the staff were friendly. Unfortunately the specials on the blackboard were not pointed out to us - we would both have ordered one of these mains but hey-ho! The garlic bread is amazing :-)

We both had fillet steak but different styles of cooking. We request mayonnaise when the mains arrived but this never arrived and we had finished our meal before the waitress came to tell us she was waiting for it!!!

Nice food, nice staff but expensive - that's just our opinion.

We have been to the same restaurant in York a few times and always had a wonderful experience!

The food at the Chester restaurant certainly didn't disappoint. It was the same high standard as we have come to love and expect!

Sadly on this occasion the service we received wasn't as friendly and vibrant as normal. Mind you it was a Sunday evening!

Nice, upmarket restaurant but I prefer other Italian restaurants in Chester (Sergios, La Fattoria). The starter (shared platter) was very nice - salami, meatballs, rice balls etc. and the king prawn spaghetti I had for the main course was also nice. Unfortunately everything seemed a little lacking in flavour - I'm used to big, robust flavoured Italian food and this seemed a little insipid. The food was also expensive compared to other Italian restaurants. All in all a pleasant evening but we will go back to our trusted Italian restaurants next time.

We have never had any problems with this restaurant either with booking or the food.

The staff here are excellent and very attentive. On one occasion I mixed up my booking date and we arrived on the Saturday instead if the Friday. It was explained to us that we had booked for the previous evening in an extremely polite and customer friendly way. We were told that we could wait for about an hour for a table to become available which we agreed to so and were given complimentary drinks whilst we waited. We did not have to wait very long at all, about 30 mins, and we were seated. This was excellent service considering the restaurant was extremely busy. I am very surprised to read the negative comments on this site as we have NEVER been disappointed. With regard to some reviewers thinking it was expensive, we have always found it excellent value for money compared to other restaurants in Chester. At the end of the day, if you want quality it does cost a little more. If you want cheap run of the mill food, go elsewhere.
