We have just stayed here & came back one day early although not necessarily all to do with the accommodation but it didn't help. The bedroom we stayed in badly needed decorated & just lacked that personal touch, the carpets look like they have been down for years & lights for no shade, although the room did have a fridge, the beds far too soft & we didn't like the fact that you have to walk through a busy bar to get to your rooms. I think the owners need to decide whether they are running a B & B or a bar but having both doesn't work. You had to jostle with what appear to be locals who seem to turn up here night after night & take up the heated area under the parasols. Breakfast was mediocre cereals, yoghurt, orange juice & full English which consisted of 2 bacon, 2 sausage, fried egg, baked beans, hash brown & plum tomato (tin) & toast, tea or coffee. The location was the best part of this b & b as only couple of mins on the number 53 bus into Chester city centre cost £3.60 single each. Chester is worth a visit as the architecture is lovely & as are the shops in the "rows". Probably wouldn't come back to visit Chester but if we did we would definitely stay elsewhere!
