Overall really nice. Helpful staff. Nice room and comfy bed, good toiletries. Room was cold- the window didn't close properly and the AC only blows cold air- it was unseasonally chilly. Breakfast was v nice- could have had a better bread selection.

Staff all excellent. Disappointed to get only a large double bed on Club floor rather than large king. Fab views from bar lounge, drinks pricy as most hotels. Clean room. Drinks and food ran out in club lounge on both nights and breads and pastries all gone by 9.25am when lounge doesn’t close until 10am, that’s poor given extra room cost for this extra. Need to improve on this and increase staff presence to keep things stocked up. Hotel knew it was a busy weekend (Races were on) so should have addressed this. Some people got nothing and left disappointed.

We Came to stay here for our Wedding anniversary, reception staff were brilliant and very helpful and pleasant, rooms nice and spacious, We booked a club room and if one is available then i would certainly pay the extra to upgrade. It gives you access to the club lounge that serves an continental breakfast and a light evening snack along with a huge variety of drinks, alcohol is restricted to certain hours but the soft drinks are available throughout your stay.

I would recommend for these rooms that the drinks in the minibar should also be complimentary as that would be a nice touch and save you having to keep going to the club room. Especially as the club Lounge drink are better than those in the mini bar it doesn't make sense.

I am unable to comment on the other facilities in the hotel as we didn't use them.

We would return to this hotel again if we were in the area

I stayed here overnight during a recent business trip. Kim on reception was very pleasant, welcoming and helpful.

I was allocated room 153 which has seen better days. The bathroom door did not close and looked as if a blind butcher with a blunt knife had attempted at some point to shave the bottom of the door! The heated towel rail power socket was exposed which is downright dangerous in a bathroom. One of the large towels was heavily stained and the silicone all around the bathroom needed replacement. I found the bed to be uncomfortable but I accept that hotels cannot cater for individual sleepers. Breakfast was very good and the staff very attentive but all in all the price I paid for the room was not becoming of the room I was given. As a rewards programme member I do have to say that I was very disappointed and would be unlikely to stay at this CP location again.

The hotel is well located albeit entering and leaving the hotel can be very confusing for first time stayers like myself.

We were initially booked into HIE at racecourse however due to overbooking offered upgrade to CP, friendly reception staff and clean tidy rooms with comfortable bed.
The barman was very friendly too, little bit pricey for the drinks prices but you expect that. Nice city view from the bar too.
Good choice at breakfast too.
Some confusion at check out due to the difference in rates as we were told our original HI rates would be honoured.
The car park could do with being resurfaced as a little rough, but great central location
