“Perfect accommodation for our Wedding Group”
Reviewed August 8, 2017 for a stay in August 2017

We were 24 in total, attending a wedding locally, and rented Dairy, Stable and Mill Barn. The cottages worked perfectly and the staff who looked after the premises were friendly and helpful - I am sure that they are still busy putting the crockery back in the right cottages! The swimming pool was greatly enjoyed by the younger members of the party.
I have read previous reviews - the cottages are not luxury but I do not believe that they are marketed as such and they met my expectations.
I would recommend Milton Brook Cottages for a group of families or friends who are looking for a no nonsense countryside location - with the added benefit of an indoor pool

“Accomodation could do with updating”
Reviewed August 21, 2016 for a stay in August 2016

The location was good not too far from Chester, but unfortunately the accomdation was lacking in some areas. We were forced to go out and invest in a sharp knife and tin opener as neither of these things worked. Also neither of the landing lights worked. Do be aware that the walls and doors are very thin, we did not appreciate the cleaners hoovering and talking loudly just after 8 am, especially since we were on holiday. We didn't see the owners and our only contact was by mobile phones, I had no signal!

“Lovely cottage, very well maintained, excellent location & very friendly staff.”
Reviewed April 4, 2016 for a stay in March 2016

I stayed in the cottage for 3 nights with my wife, 2 year old son, farther & brother. There was plenty of room and we loved the swimming pool.

It is located near all major tourist attractions (Chester Zoo, Aquarium & Cheshire Oaks) would highly recommend and I plan to use them again.

All in all a very enjoyable visit.

“Great Little Cottage”
Reviewed August 14, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We arrived and were warmly welcomed, shown the pool which was lovely. Cottage lovely and clean with everything could ask for. We forgot our hairdryer and hey presto the lady brought us one over. Kitchen well equippped and bbq outside should you need. First night went to Stamford Bridge Public House food fantastic and lovely atmosphere. Walls are a little thin downstairs but didnt notice any noise upstairs. Would recommend.

10 of us stayed in Dairy and Stable cottages for a week. The cottages were expensive at a cost of nearly £1500 perhaps that is why other than ours and one with workmen in all the rest were unoccupied from Monday to Friday and you can add 10% to that if you book through the agent the owner uses, I always thought that if you used an agent you paid them, what a cheek to get someone to work for you and get someone else to pay them. The cottages were spotlessly clean but need bringing into the twentieth century the toilets were a miss match of fittings close coupled handled on front flushes not working properly could not be flushed with seat upright, the Wi-Fi could not be detected on my lap-top only one called neil and one BT obviously neither could be used, the tv was as wide front to back as across the front the c/d player was so old it had a V H S player incorporated in it, the microwave in stable did not work, if you go to the pub you expect to pay to play pool but not when you've paid so much for the cottage, even 50p is 50p to much, when we arrived on the Friday afternoon the grandkids wanted to go into the pool it was lovely so warm even I could walk straight into it by Tuesday when the hen parties had gone home and the thermostat had been turned down it took me 10 minutes to get in, at the back of our cottages was a piece of grass between ours and other cottages it could have been so good for the grandkids to kick a ball about but the grass was knee deep. The fishing was good with carp to 8lb but on a family holiday you cant go fishing every day. This was a good holiday because of the company.
The cottages were ok but could be so much better with some of the rent spent on them.

We stayed in Stable cottage for ten nights. We wanted a place close to Chester to visit family and friends. We were happy with the location, house and service. The house was a good size for a base, safe, warm, clean and we had wifi. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Pool was clean and an added bonus to our stay. Would recommend a stay here to family and friends. We would stay again.
