We thoroughly enjoyed our 3-day stay at this B&B. Not only did we enjoy the company
of the owners and their son, we loved the fact that the bus into town was literally steps
away from their door. Restaurants and shops were conveniently located and our room
was comfortable and clean. Owners went above and beyond the scope of their duties
in providing assistance regarding personal problems that had occurred at home.

From the minute we got there, we were made to feel welcome. We were given refreshments as soon as we got there and Mark gave us a lot of information about the area, places to visit and eat, where to get public transport etc and supplied us with money off vouchers and a discount card for Cheshire Oaks. The rooms were immaculate and the breakfast was prepared exactly how we wanted it, it was second to none. They genuinely wanted us to have a great stay, we will definitely stay here next time we come.

You might think that we'd be the worst people to write a review because we ourselves are guest house owners. But beilieve you me, credit due, where credit's due! We've stayed at quiet a few B & B's in Chester now which have ranged from down right disgusting to very mediocre. This one is the BEST YET!

The Property is a beautiful Edwardian house with lovely big windows and lots original features and natural light. The rooms have high ceilings and are pleasantly decorated.
We stayed in, a room at the top of the house and had a lovely view over the garden. The room and en-suite shower room was very clean which is a real plus point.
The breakfast was perfect and very filling, I could not have eaten the Full English as it was too much but the sausages were really nice.
A real plus for me was having HOT TOAST served with your breakfast. Not the burnt toast, that we experienced at the last B & B we stayed at. The toast there was served before breakfast with the tea and coffee so that by the time breakfast arrived the toast was cold and you did not dare ask for more incase you had your head bitten off.
The owners and staff were very warm and welcoming and the service was second to none. I would definately recomend this place to stay at. Thanks you, we will be back!

Me, my wife and son with fanily searched on th internet for somewhere we could stay in Chester. No doubts about it we researched various websites comments and decided that Chester Brooklands seemed t offer exactly what we wanted. Free wifi was fast reliable and easy to connect to, my son used the wired computer available there for just a pound, the discounts we made use of inclluded Chester Zoo which is a great place to spend the day even though it was cold we had a great time. We got reduced prices on our restaurant bills also thanks to the owners and staff. Staff and owners are very accommodating, caring and made everyone feel very welcome. This is a popular place for sure and we can see why. The rooms are ideal being clean, very comfortable and fairly spacious. We where not disappointed with the choice we made I woulld strongly recommend that anyone else researching on where to stay in Chester that they look no further than Chester Brooklands Bed and Breakfast. One day I shall return thank you.

The proprietor could not be more helpful or accommodating. Being Coeliac was not an issue, although the waitress had apparently not been aware that gluten-free toast could not be served in the same bowl as the non-GF. Very friendly, HUGE bed (handy for larger people such as my husband & I!). Parking spaces a little tight but the owners are happy to juggle cars around as necessary.

On a side note: We highly recommend trying the newly-opened (Summer 2009) Brazilian Steak House for dinner. It's AMAZING!

My wife and i received a warm welcome and showed to room (5) which was perfectly ok for us. Took a walk into chester centre (15mins). stopped at nice indian cafe on left just before bridge.
(don't go to slow boat chinese above iceland not good). chester expensive for drinks, but still had a few and a few laughs.
got taxi back £4.00.
breakfast very good well cooked and served.
summing up nice guest house, friendly and helpful. good location, (just over 5 mins from zoo in car) clean and quite (room 5). would go back.

We have just returned from a 2 nigh break staying at Chester Brooklands. This couple go out of their way to extend a warm welcome to their guests. We arrived a little earlier than we had said and were taken into their lovely garden where Mark served us a pot of tea and gave us lots of useful local information on where to go and the best places to eat. The bus stop is conviently situated just outside where busses take you into Chester every 10 mins. So there is no need to move the car. The breakfasts are lovely with the best eggs we have had for a long time (thank you Remina). This hard working husband wife team deserve to get on. We wish you all the very best. Pauline and Terry
