This premier inn is comfortable, as most of them are, it has a large TV on the wall, so I am not sure if it has been refurbished or was built like it.

There was 4 of us in the room, which does make it a bit cramped, but was not a problem. The "Twirl of Hay" is a Brewers Fayre, which is not my favourite restaurant brand at Premier Inn, but the food was OK and the breakfast was full buffet, rather than cook to order and the fried eggs were perfect.

Location is a bit out of Chester, but we knew that when we booked and is close to the Park & Ride if you want to use that way of getting in to the city centre.

Would stay here again if we visit Chester

Stayed here en route to Holyhead. A very clean, quiet and comfortable hotel with lovely staff and a brilliant breakfast. The location is excellent with easy access to the city centre and also to the motorways. Good shopping available at the supermarket across the road.

Very good location for city centre (a brisk 20 minute walk), the zoo and Cheshire Oaks. The premier inn was one of the best I've been in, staff were by far the most-friendly and couldn't do enough for us.
I booked an inclusive food package in the adjacent pub, Brewers Fayre 'Twirl of Hay', which I wouldn't do again. The breakfasts were great, as always, but wasn't sold on the food deal we'd bought, that said, Our kids had a buffet both nights, which was excellent value.
I would certainly stay again but, would not restrict ourselves with the evening meal deal.......

Room Tip: Ground floor rooms were great

We alwas try to stay at a Premier Inn whenever we go away because of the high standard and comfort level of their rooms. It was a bit tricky to find because of the one way system, but once we arrived at reception we were greayed by a very friendly receptionist, who checked us in and gave us all the information we needed about the hotel, restuarant and how best to get into the town centre.

Our room was just off the reception on the ground floor, it was spotless and up to the usual high standard. We unpacked and decided to head off into Chester centre to look around the shops, the receptionist phoned us a taxi and told us approximately how much it should cost us.

After a few hours shopping we returned and got ready for our night out, we both found the shower a little dissapointing, it was just a hose attatched to the bath taps and as such had very poor pressure. Also we found the little electric panel heater in our room very ineffective and although we had in set on maximum it didn't heat the room at all.

We went off to Chester and had a great meal at the Koconut Grove, an Indian restaurant which we had pre booked after reading their Trip advisor reviews

We always try to book a Premier Inn whenever we travel, so upon deciding to travel to Chester booked into this one, it was a little difficult to find because of the one way system. Once we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who booked us in and gave us all the information we needed along with some advice on how best to get into the town centre. There is also Brewers Fayre pub and restaurant next door.

Our room was just off reception on the ground floor, it was spotlessly clean and up to the usual high standard. After unpacking we decided to head into the centre and look around the shops, the receptionist booked us a taxi and told us approx how much it should cost.

After a few hours of shopping we returned and had a quiet drink in the Brewers Fayre before going back to our room and getting ready for our night out. We were both a little dissapointed with the shower, it was just a hose connected to the bath taps, so the pressure was very poor. Our room was very cold and although we had the thermometer set on maximum the little electric wall heater struggled to warm the room.

We had pre-booked a table at Koconut Corner,an Indian restaurant in Cheater town centre, after reading the Trip Advisor reviews. After a great meal and a few drinks we returned to the hotel and finished our night off in the Brewers Fayre next door. The usual fantastic nights sleep, in a very comfortable bed. We dont bother with the breakfast and prefer to have a nice lie in instead.

A very pleasent stay and would definetly return, would thoroughly recommend this Premier Inn either for business or a shrt break.

Room Tip: We had a ground floor room, just off reception (Room 25)

Lovely stay, very friendly staff, quiet clean family room. Good value food at pub next door, and lovely breakfasts. Very family friendly from reception staff to pub staff. Excellent location for Chester Zoo - only 10mins drive. Only two gripes - 1) there is no lift, which when you have 2 young children and lots of luggage is not brilliant - it meant several journeys to the car for train sets, dinosaurs and other kids paraphernalia!! 2) the fun factory (soft play area) doesn't allow adults to help children on the play equipment, so having paid for our toddler, found all he had access to was a small ball pit, when he wanted to follow his older brother over the main climbing frame. Most soft play centres these days allow adults to go on the equipment too, so this was disappointing, as with a little bit of help here and there he is perfectly able to enjoy the larger equipment, but I wouldn't allow him to go up it on his own in case he accidentally falls down a slide etc. But overall good play area for £2 a child.

Room Tip: stayed in room 72 - good size family room
