You can pay upwards of £200 for a hotel room but if all you need is a good bed, great shower, nice enough breakfast, free parking and within a short hop of Chester, then you can't go wrong with this hotel.
We paid about £60 for the room and then £8.50 each for unlimited breakfast in the adjacent pub. The breakfast wasn't brilliant, they could improve it greatly by offering fresh coffee and fresh juice.... It was disappointing to be served what was clearly 'instant' coffee in a 'costa' cup.
The staff in the hotel and in the pub were lovely and I would certainly stay here again next time we're in Chester.

Stayed one night while going to a funeral nearby. Very nice room, comfy bed, lots of towels, decent pillows and lovely staff. Natalie in particular was delightful. We would go back. Great location too. The restaurant next door however left a bit to be desired.

Super staff, they make you walk and welcome in every aspect of your stay, everytime you leave to go out you get a nice goodbye and when you return a nice hello, the staff also had our bags from us at arrival of about 11am so we could travel back to the city center and kept our bags after departure so we weren't lugging a suitcase around a museum which was brilliant of them. The hotel room was lovely and clean a powerful hot shower and a lovely mirror to put your make up on with haha. Yes there is a main road but in all honesty unless you sleep at 5pm you won't hear a thing at 10pm when rush hour is over and only 1 car every 5/10 mins comes down. The restaurant next door is lovely, great staff in there also and brilliant food, a lovely range of vegetarian options, it's cheap and just great food. I would deffo recommend the zoo and chester city itself the zoo is a nice walk if you're looking to walk and the city center is so historical and beautiful.

Stayed here with my wife and 2 children (9 and 12) over the Easter holidays. Plenty parking at the hotel which you normally have to pay for but if staying in hotel it is free and good amount of security cameras in the car park. Room was spacious, very clean and tidy. Did not hear much noise from outside. Staff were very helpfull and made sure everything was to our liking. Very near Chester zoo and got discounted tickets from the staff which was great. Ate in the restaurant next door which was very good value for money and busy for a Wednesday night. Breakfast was good although didn't think it was too premier inns usual high standard, staff on at breakfast time were quite unattentive and were more interested in speaking to each other than taking care of the customers. All in all though, a very pleasant stay.

Staff very pleasant and helpful. I stayed in a twin room with my 11 year old daughter. Beds were very comfortable, room was clean and tidy and the bathroom neat if a little compact. Only downside was noise from the room outside.

we took our grandson,6, to Chester zoo over the Easter weekend and stayed here, about 3 miles from the zoo and about 2 miles from Chester.
Te hotel was spotless, the room perfect and staff outstanding. Everything was ready when we arrived including an extra bed which was taken away as soon as we said we did not need it. The beds were fantastic so comfortable that I and my grandson slept soundly, husband kept awake with us snoring and chatting in our sleep!!
Breakfast each morning was great especially as we didn't have to pay for grandson. Restaurant staff extremely friendly and attentive- nothing too much bother.
I would highly recommend this hotel and when we return to Chester we will definitely be using it again.

Room Tip: we had a family room which would have taken 5 easily

We stayed here with our 4-month old baby... our first experience of a night away with him, so we were slightly nervous. The family room was very spacious, with plenty of room for his pram and other paraphenalia, as well as the travel cot provided by the hotel.

The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was clean throughout, although the bathroom was a little bit 'tired' around the edges. Nevertheless, the shower above the bath worked well. Despite being on a busy main road and opposite a hospital, we weren't disturbed by the traffic.

Breakfast in the adjoining pub/restaurant was very good, and the waiter exceptionally helpful.

The location was handy for the centre of Chester (approx 30 mins walk), or for a short drive to the Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet.

A good, basic hotel for a night or two - we would stay again.
