called in for a lunchtime snack following a good lunch on a previous visit. Ordered Welsh Rarebit at a considerable cost of £5.95. What was served was two pieces of toasted bread with a tiny salad and small pieces of 'crispy bacon'. The local chutney was less than a spoonful. The cheese topping appeared greasy and pale, with the edge of the toast being burnt. Very unappetising and returned without trying. Expensive and poor quality considering that I have recently eaten in a main course in a French brasserie opposite the Tower of London for only £9.95. I asked that the cost of the meal went towards the upkeep of the cathedral.
