Went with a few friends so although early and quiet we were our own entertainment. We all went for the Saturday special steak and wine. Each steak cooked perfectly, nice wine and excellent cocktails. We were so impressed with the prices we even ordered (and drank) a bottle of Bollinger without breaking the bank. The house specialty of tapa's smelled divine. One tip though - nearly all contain cheese which for a none cheese eater meant very limited choice. More none cheesy tapa's please and I will be back soon!

Called on a very quiet mid-afternoon last week. Nothing to complain about but then nothing to enthuse about. Large portions but no flair. Our meal was left in the food lift for five minutes and delivered at the waitress's convenience. Good location little else to commend it.

Had sandwiches and soup in the afternoon - place has great location and could have potential, but noone is realised. Sandwiches dry on poor bread with no effort.

called in yesterday evening 07-08 with my better half youngest daughter and her boyfriend, after an afternoon in town, the place was very quiet although it was early (18-30) ish.having never tried tapa,s thought we would give it a try especially with the offer of a bottle of wine or sangria with every six dishes.good variety of food we tried scallops, duck risotto, fried brie, calamari, fishcake being just a few, twelve dishes were easily enough for the four of us,and all the meals were of a decent size if a little in my opinion under seasoned.the only criticism I have is that the food was pretty cool by the time we were on the last few samples, and if I was going to do tapa,s again I would only order six let the group, eat them then order more when we had finished that would probably solve the problem. we were told they were creating more offers for others days to attract custom, which we will certainly look out for, after having a couple of below average meals at the last two places we visited it made a nice change to taste something that was worth paying for.

Had a delicious lunch at Ellie's after a full walk around the Chester Wall. It was very crowded and it took a little while for the food to come, but it was a welcomed chance to relax for a few minutes. We chose to eat inside as it was surprisingly warm on the day we visited, but a nice outdoor area provides great view of the cathedral. Food was very good, waitress did her best to keep up, but clearly there wasn't enough help that day. Overall if we ever get an opportunity to return, I would eat there again
