I'm just really happy to be living in a town where a place like this exisits.
Despite the fact that it is a little cramped and usually crowded this does actually adds to the atmosphere. The staff are great and very attentive continually flitting between all the table to ensure that you are never waiting too long for a top up drink or for your next plate of food.
and the food.... some reviews say that this isn't traditional Spanish tapas but I don't think this is exactly what Porta are looking to recreate.
The standard menue has some classic tapas dishes and the specials are exactly that - the ox tongue was fantastic.
We even stopped in for half an hour as we didn't like the starter options of the restaurant we were booked into one evening.
This is just a great place where you can pop in for half an hour, or be suprised when you realise that you have actually been there for nearer 3.
