We were invited into the church by a very friendly volunteer who then personally took us around the interior and explained the history of this very interesting building to us. The church was the city's Cathedral in the 11th century but a large part was later demolished, leaving some extensive ruins in the grounds which are also well worth a visit.

This Church dates back to the 9th century - although it was heavily restored in Victorian times !
Interesting interior and lots of ruins outside

Located in a very interesting part of the City, you will have the opportunity to visit this beatiful church. Don't forget on the outside to visit the remainings of the 11th Century church in the backyard. In the same block, visit the Anfitheatre (very interesting and there are also Roman walls)
