We stayed for one night (me & my mom), for a short city break with eating and shopping. This place was perfect location wise for that in Chester. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, and helpful.
If you want a place that is posh and modern, it is not for you, but it is clean and very functional, with a lovely atmosphere and character. The beds were fine, the rooms warm, the water pressure good and hot. Breakfast was okay for a smaller hotel. We did not eat there so cannot comment, but it was very busy in general suggesting the food is good.
One point to note - they have 3 car spaces only. We thought we had one booked - as I had requested it on the booking and not heard to the contrary - but when I got there it was not booked for us as they had not replied to confirm. so I would just suggest you call when you book, to confirm if a car space is available, rather than avoid any annoyance on arrival. They were able to actually squeeze us in, but that would not necessarily be the case.More
