“Perfect Pie and Pudding!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 21, 2013

With snow falling and plenty of fresh coffee available 9 willing souls underwent the 'Perfect Pie & Pudding' half day course at Harthill Cookery School this past Sunday. In 4 hours we prepared Steak and Ale Pie - proper pie (lid and base) with pastry made with our fair hands and 'Sticky Toffee Apple Pudding' with toffee sauce and custard. A great time with Brian demonstrating each section of the dishes and making sure everyone got enough attention to get us through the pastry making component of the day. At the end we got to take the results home and of course they were extremely well received by our partners...A great course and highly recommended.

“Bread Making Sunday”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 16, 2013

6 Adults and 2 teenagers embarked on a bread making Sunday at Hartshill Cookery School under the watchful eye of Brain, and I have to say it was marvelous .... We all thoroughly enjoyed making pizza, flat breads, rolls and cheese and herb bread, everything was explained clearly and professionally and the end results tasted great. The School is perfectly settled in the hamlet of Hartshill and lends itself to a very peaceful and relaxing cookery class....
All of our group enjoyed the day and would go back and experience more of Brians cookery experience. Would recommend to keen enthusiasts of Bread making. Irina was organised and helpful with all the organising of our group and accomondated our needs wonderfully.

“Happy Days”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 12, 2013

i must mention that i have not yet been to the cookery school but i did go to Harthill primary school :) ....and so for this vested reason i have an interest in this building, one that is oh so sacred to me and my memories. So it is lovely to read that this building is continuing to be used for it's intended purpose of learning, fun and the memories that come with that :) I currently live in Glasgow but cannot wait to bring by hubby and son to Harthill for a fun cookery day and also a history of me :)

“A cookery school that goes the extra mile”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 17, 2012

I recently visited Harthill Cookery School as a team building day from work and I can honestly say that a great time was had by all. Nothing was too much trouble when we contacted Brian and Irina to arrange the event and with their assistance it was possible to organise a day that would go on to exceed everyones expectations - some of which were very high!. The whole day was totally hands on and culminated in us preparing and eating a 3 course lunch, some elements of which were prepared individually and others as a group activity. Brians teaching skills (and patience!!) were second to none making everyone within the group feel relaxed and capable of creating quality dishes with the excellent produce that he had supplied. Hints, tips and conversation freely flowed and before the mince pies had even had chance to cool the day was unfortunately drawing to a close. Plans are already being made by colleagues to return to Harthill socially to attend some of the other days/evenings that Brian and Irina have got planned so that they can continue their culinary journeys with absolutely fantastic hosts.

“Great experience!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 11, 2012

I have recently completed 3 evening courses, Chinese, Spanish and Italian. The setting is fantastic and both Brian and Irina made me feel welcome and completely at ease.

I'm not the most experienced cook but the course catered brilliantly for the variety of ages and skill levels among the people attending.

In addition to the new dishes I am now able to cook there are handy organisational tips for the kitchen and its a great relaxing social evening.

I will definitely be heading back for more and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the experience or buy a voucher as a gift!
