With snow falling and plenty of fresh coffee available 9 willing souls underwent the 'Perfect Pie & Pudding' half day course at Harthill Cookery School this past Sunday. In 4 hours we prepared Steak and Ale Pie - proper pie (lid and base) with pastry made with our fair hands and 'Sticky Toffee Apple Pudding' with toffee sauce and custard. A great time with Brian demonstrating each section of the dishes and making sure everyone got enough attention to get us through the pastry making component of the day. At the end we got to take the results home and of course they were extremely well received by our partners...A great course and highly recommended.
