I Stayed here for 1 night with my daughter and grandson, I enjoyed every minite and would definatly stay there again. We were up-graded to an executive room at no extra charge, as promised there was a travel cot provided. I booked with octopus and paid £78 for the three of us. After a morming shopping in Chester we had a nice lunch on arrival at hotel in the Nelson bar/restaurant and then spent a pleasant afternoon in the fabulous pool with my grandson. After a short rest we went down for dinner in the Ciro restaurant which was a carvery and most enjoyable. We had a very good nights sleep, the room was so quiet as we faced onto open country-side. The beds were sooo comfy (soft mattress which I loved! ) Next morning after a very tasty breakfast with fresh fruit and full english we checked out and spent the day at the zoo. I would love to go back again with girl-friends and check out that amazing spa! (also If you want zoo tickets the hotel sells them at £11.75 per adult as opposed to £16.50 buying them at the zoo, and no queing) The helpful hotel receptionist advised us of this offer.

I had previously stayed at the Grosvenor Pulford on Business and found the Quality of Food, Service, Spa facilities and helpfullness of all the members of Staff that I came across was Top Quality.
I decided that this Hotel would be an Ideal place for my Wife and I to spend the Day and Night to celebrate our 30th Weddding Anniversary.
My Wife was absolutely thrilled with everything about the Hotel and Spa as well as the surrounding area.

We stayed for the 1 night on saturday at the end of may. Unfortunately there was a VERY loud wedding party in that night. Not to be party poopers - we've all been there - we didn't complain at first, but by 1.30am we did call reception. There was screaming up and down the corridors and our room overlooked the courtyard, used by smokers til gone 2am, the users of which decided to argue about marriage! Anyway, we did try and speak to the manager the next day - we were told it was our fault!!!!! We were advised it was not their responsibility to manage the hotel and we should have called every time there was a problem. Ha ha ha - NEVER AGAIN

I thought this hotel was lovely.
The outside was really nice and pretty and the Gardens were well looked after.
I came her for a friends wedding and thought that they were really orgnaised and very helpful.
The room we had was quite big and the showers fab.
The breakfast was nice.
I unfortuntily didn't get to go to the spa or pool but i head it was quite good.
The only bad thing i would say is that The hotel bedrooms and pub/bar was really hot and the rooms didn't have air-con.
But overall i was very impressed!

We would like to thank you for your kind comments following your stay at the Grosvenor Pulford Hotel & Spa. We really do appreciate customer feedback as it continually helps us to improve on the services that we provide.

We are very pleased to hear that overall you enjoyed your stay with us. We are aware that as the weather becomes nicer, the bedrooms do become warm, as a result of this we had already previously arranged for air conditioning to be installed into the bedrooms and this is actually being carried out as we speak. It is a shame that we weren’t a few weeks earlier with the installation!

Thank you once more and we hope to welcome you back to the Grosvenor Pulford Hotel & Spa in the near future.

The hotel looks good from the outside. Inside the bar and restaurants were okay, courtyard was nice. Our room was small and very hot! No air conditioning and the windows were screwed shut from the outside!! We asked at reception for a another room and were offered a fan!!! Not acceptable I'm afraid. Once I had made it clear that we wanted a room with a window that opened and not a fan, we were moved quickly to a room with an opening window!!
Shower was poorly designed, shower pole was all rusty, water pressure was poor and the water temperature would suddenly change with no warning!
Breakfast was good and plentiful, evening meals were okay but nothing special! For some reason, they insisted in washing the conservatory floor with a slippery foaming soapy substance most days. Both of us nearly fell over several times and witnessed another guest fall over quite badly! The pool was nice, we didnt have any treatments as they were quite pricey but the spa was nicely decorated.
We went for a week through airmiles, we enjoyed it but were more than ready to go home! It was nice enough for a "free" holiday but I certainly would not have been happy if we had been paying the £130 a night that our room cost!!

The Grosvenor Pulford Hotel is a gorgeous property in a fantastic setting. The interior is sympathetic to the character of the hotel however it has a modern, cosy and luxurious feel.

During our wedding planning, nothing was too much trouble or an inconvenience to the hotel staff. We never ever felt like we were 'just another customer'. The staff made us feel very special. All of the staff had the perfect blend of being approachable and friendly whilst maintaining a high level of professionalism too.

The timings of the events during our day were seamless. The Duty Manager did a fabulous job ensuring everyone was where they needed to be, when they needed to be there and he was a fantastic Master of Ceremonies.

The Chefs were amazing! The food was absolutely DELICIOUS. The best we have ever tasted. There was the perfect amount on the plate for each person and each persons plate of food was piping hot. Each course came out from the kitchen very quickly so all of our guests were eating the same course at the same time and there was the perfect amount of time between each course.

The waiting on staff were efficient in keeping all of our guests wine glasses topped up throughout the meal and the bar staff ensured there were never any queues at the bar throughout the whole day and evening.

The evening reception was just as perfect as the day reception was.

The hotel staff were also very welcoming and accommodating to our photographer, our Chauffeur & our DJ. This contributed greatly to our day being seamless.

The Grosvenor Suite was set up perfectly for our day and looked better than we could ever have imagined it would.

All of the public areas were spotless and the bedrooms were fabulous and very clean. The attention to detail in our bedroom particularly was spectacular. The bath robes and bath bombs were a very welcoming sight after a fantastic but long day!

We were very highly impressed with everything and cannot give enough praise the staff who worked on creating and maintaining such a perfect day for us.

We had approx 110 guests and all of our guests who stayed overnight were also very impressed with the very high standard of the bedrooms and each of our wedding guests have expressed their compliments on a fantastic wedding day.

All of our guests have highly complimented the hotel, the setting, the location, the interior, the food, the service, the friendliness, the high standards and the high level of professionalism shown by each of the staff at The Grosvenor Pulford Hotel. We have not had a single negative comment!

Words cannot express enough how pleased, grateful and impressed we are with everyone at The Grosvenor Pulford Hotel.

The Grosvenor Pulford Hotel is a beautiful place to hold a wedding. The setting is fantastic and the interior is very welcoming. The staff are the definition of a team and are fabulous. We are SO proud to have had our wedding there and highly recommend the Grosvenor Pulford Hotel as THE place to hold your wedding!

We had a decent room, with a nice TV. Bedroom windows fitted badly, bathroom door wouldn't close without being locked. Shower temperature kept varying. Lots of noise from events until midnight. Hot chocolate as breakfast drink - only if you pay extra! I asked for porridge and kippers for breakfast - the kippers came first! The gardens are delightful. The car park has very narrow bays - doh't bring a big car - and there's too few. The lift is tucked away next to the entrance to the kitchen - take care, we had staff crash into us as they came out of the kitchen! The stair carpet is worn through in patches. Despite this, we enjoyed our stay, but the hotel could benefit from some investment to make some needed improvements.
