The park has a beautiful location near the rive and whilst it's currently undergoing a massive amount of work you can see it's going to be stunning! A lovely place to spend the afternoon.

If you're visiting chester and have time this is a fascinating place to visit.
Its not big but contains interesting artefacts especially from the Roman period.
Good for children too and with free entry its a great place to go if the weather is poor., well done!
The staff on the day we visited were smart, polite and informative

A very good grounding in the history of Chester. You would pay a lot for this in York! Although I am local I found this very interesting

Grosvenor Park has some stunning beauty set in Chester's city centre. 5 minutes walk away from Chester's amphitheatre and offers many paths and trails around some stunning flowers and scenery. A popular spot in summer for picnics. It also hosts a music concert every year which is also great! It has a children's play area, ice-cream shop and a kids railway track.

We were just so disappointed with this museum, downstairs there are a few cabinets of Roman stuff, upstairs a gallery and a room of stuffed birds and animals and thats about it, it will probably take half an hour to go around and thats being kind. Our time was better spent walking around the Roman walls.
