“Bit of a mixture”
Reviewed January 9, 2013

Another little jem in Chester got a mixture of all sorts of things. Some of it was closed when we went due to Christmas. But staff were very helpful and opened the room with the costumes as my wife wanted to see them

“Beautiful Park Life”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

The park is a great place to hang out with friends in the summer, or some place to go by yourself for a stroll. It's 2 minutes from the city centre, provides a playground area, excellent miniature railway and ice cream kiosk so basically the kids are laughing. There are several benches around if you just want to chill, and it's just a small walk away from the riverside. Also, check out the live music attractions they stage here, Jools Holland and the like have been in the past!

“A must see”
Reviewed January 2, 2013

The first floor was fascinating and two hours was not enough time to finish. They have artifacts, found locally, dating back to the time of Christ. I frequent museums and still learned a lot from this one.

“Great park”
Reviewed January 1, 2013

Lovely little park for a stroll, there's a mini railway for the children to ride, ice cream kiosk, playground etc.. The park also backs onto the groves and river bank where you can walk, enjoy a boat ride or listen to the bands play in the summer.

“Beautiful place”
Reviewed December 28, 2012

Nice to sit around and chat in the summer, near to the river and the bars and restaurants there. The gardens are well kept and tidy and get quite busy at times, it has a good, friendly atmosphere.
