Decided to try Chester Fields with some good friends who were visiting us. Its always risky taking friends to somewhere you haven't tried before however, Chester Fields didn't disappoint! The surroundings are beautiful - would be lovely to sit out in the garden in the summer but we visited in November so were keen to get inside. We were greeted straight away by a friendly member of staff and even though it was very busy they were able to seat us right next to the fire which was lovely! The inside of the building is stunning - modern but with a country feel. We did have a bit of a wait for the food but that was understandable as there was a big party in just before us. The Sunday roast was very tasty with good portion sizes and the prices were reasonable too. I would definitely recommend Chester Fields and look forward to eating here again!
