Description: Fabulous pub food produced in a great British, traditional, friendly and inviting surroundings. The award winning kitchen is a hive of creativity where the venue's passionate, talented, and creative Head Chef, along with the rest of the dedicated team, work their magic as they cook freshly prepared, and locally sourced meat, fish, veg and dairy products, as well as freshly baked artisan breads. The seasonally changing, modern Great British-Style menu's, are the epiphany of today's "gastro-style" pub restaurants, but along with a sense of the "home-comforts", often contain that "twist" on tradition, as well as flavours and variants on recipes from all over the World.

Went with my husband last evening for a meal-it was an off the cuff booking-not for celebrating anything special-just a meal. From the moment we entered we were made to feel special-the staff were brilliant-not in your face but attentive and the food was amazing. We had three courses-tapas to start, a main and a pudding. The tapas are huge and at £3 really good value.I had a Merlot and my husband a pint of beer and the bill was £40.We will certainly be going again soon.

The tapas are 3£ each and incredibly tasty (my preference is the kidney) and the main courses are also really tasty and not so expensive, great choice of fresh products and nice service. Totally worth going there.

Really can’t fault this place, been here about 5 times in the last year.
Last visit didn’t disappoint, family of 10 all having beef Sunday roast!
Asked for my beef to be pink, which is a great option many pubs not offer the option.
GREAT MEAL!!

English taps is great too, but must admit the choices aren’t as good as they were in October!

Great for a Sunday lunch and off the chance evening meals.

Wouldn’t suggest it as a romantic birthday treat if you’re looking for a bit more, as you could be sitting in the older part!

Great food and great country pub.

Tip..Ask to sit in the Conservatory!!

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!
At first glance it looks like a lot of money per head ..... but it's barely more than the cost of a three course meal and it's a real experience. We enjoyed it as part of our anniversary celebration .......

(It's my favourite place to eat in the area - I've never been disappointed with the food or service).
