“Countryside and views”

Great way to see the Cheshire countryside. Quite hilly in places and not a circular route so you have to come back the same way or hit the road and find your own way back

“Free entertainment for the recession years”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

Beautiful countryside and clean air over as many miles as you wish. Do it in stages is my advise to you and take your time. There are lots of tempting distractions...castles, ice-cream farms, forests, fruit farms to name a few. Take a picnic or stop at one of the lovely cream tea offering cafes.

“A fun way to work off some ice cream”
Reviewed December 8, 2012

This trail has beautiful views, well marked trails and is really entertaining the whole way. We went to the Chester Dairy Farm (with amazing ice cream and a petting zoo), Beeston Castle and Peckforton Castle and had a blast. The staff at the different sites are incredibly nice and you feel like you're in the countryside while still being close to Chester's city centre. If you don't have a car you can get a bus to the dairy or near Peckforton. It gets steep in a lot of parts, so it's best for people with a lot of energy!

“A lovely 2 day walk”
Reviewed September 27, 2012

Hills and valleys . Castles and farms. Pubs , ice cream , cups of tea. We did this walk from end to end over 2 days , starting in Frodsham ( psychologically downhill?). Day one was the best day --both weather wise and scenically . Day 2 started at The Pheasant in thunder and torrential rain and finished as an exhausted trudge through field after field to Whitchurch. A great achievement though!! Recommend to anyone who likes a challenge and can walk 15 to 20 miles per day . Almost impossible to get lost.
Am now redoing it as the series of circular walks although I have favourites so keep repeating them !!
