My partner and I managed to spend an entire day at this zoo and we were still rushing around to see everthing! A massive zoo with incredible enclosures. All the animals looked happy and healthy, and the bat enclosure is a MUST! We spent nearlly 40 minutes just stood in the bat cave with the cute little Sebas bats flying around us. I also really loved how every enclosure was like an exhibit, with tons of information on animals and habitat and conservation.
The entry price was well worth the money and is cheap for what this place has to offer!

Chester Zoo is a truly wonderful day out, but for families, it can be very expensive. There is too much to see in a couple of hours, so if you do decide to go, try to go early in the day. I recommend the zoo to anyone who asks, but the main grouses are that A.. if you go late, you don't see much, so you have wasted a lot of money, and B..there are long distances to walk, and with young children, if they get weary, and fractious, the day is either spoilt for the adults, or they all go home early, again not having seen everything.

Friendly welcome (well it was halloween and I don't think our son was too sure of the witch who met us), easy to walk round. The animotronic bugs were amazing. The only complaint would be the additional charges for the monorail
