“World class Zoo”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2012

Chester Zoo is a world class zoo. I have visited many other zoos around the world but nothing beats Chester Zoo. There is plenty to see. The exhibits are excellent and informative. You will find it hard to fit it all into one visit. Staff are friendly and the souvenirs are reasonably priced. The food is typical for a British tourist attraction, meaning it will fill your belly and empty your wallet, but that's about it. The coffee was good for those cold, damp October mornings. Don't miss the butterfly house, bat forrest and chimpanzees!!! Don't fret about fitting in the monorail. It's an overpriced ride in an elevated shopping trolley. Skip it and go to the Monkey House a second time.

“Fantastic Day Out”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2012

The best zoo we've ever visited. Arrived at 10am with our 3 year old and didn't leave until closing time. Spotlessly clean, animals all looked really well cared for and they must have a fantastic breeding programme, judging by the amount of baby animals we saw......a 3 day old giraffe, tiger cubs, elephant calves and lots more. The staff knew their stuff.
Our main reason for visiting was to take our son to see Dinosaurs Bite Back, which in itself was great for him, but by far the highlight of the day was the young ourangutan trying to get inside a hesian bag, then rolling aroung the ground, while we all laughed one of the adults sat right in front of us at the window watching us all.....totally amazing.
Go to Chester Zoo, you wont be disapponted.

“The Zoo”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2012

This may sound silly, but all the animals looked happy and the monkeys were a joy to watch. We went on the park and ride and it was very easy to get there. We enjoyed it so much we arrived at !0a.m. and did not leave until nearly closing time.

“well worth entry fee”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 7, 2012

Big cats the main attraction, Tigers were impressive, Lions also but the cougars were illusive unfortunately. Accommodation for the animals seems great but I'm no expert, better than some other zoos i would imagine. A good day out as we were in the region.
