“Excellent 2 night stay”
Reviewed July 17, 2014

My wife and I stayed 2 nights here last week (July 2014). We were in a small tidy room in the courtyard. (One of the very best hotels on the Hoole Road for parking with plenty of space adjoining the chalets on the purpose made gravel drive/car park). Our bathroom was beautifully clean and the shower was superb with constant even pressured hot water with excellent controls. The rest of the apartment was spotless.Comfy bed. TV with excellent signal and picture. Tea and coffee in the room replenished both days. Wifi kept dropping out but only momentarily. Staff were friendly, informative and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was superb with one of the best cups of morning black coffee I have had in years of travel in many hotels throughout the UK. Excellent full English breakfast cooked to order , with plenty of toast, preserves, fresh fruit, tinned fruit (prunes and grapefruit segments) fruit juice and pastries. Very good value. 20 minutes easy walk to the city centre and plenty of pubs and restaurants close by if you don't want to walk into town. I would definitely stay here again. Thoroughly recommended if you are in Chester for the horse racing or just visiting the beautiful City as we were. Thank you all for a great stay.

Room Tip: Our room was fine although this is the first time we have stayed here so cannot comment on other roo...

Stayed overnight 12/07/14, Staff extremely friendly and professional. Room was in the court yard, Spotless clean, very comfortable bed, tv,tea and coffee making facilities. Lovely bar and lounge area.Very impressed. We had our evening meal at one of the many local pubs. Very handy for the city centre. Will definitely stay again.

Very convenient B&B jusr 20 minutes or so walk from Chester centre. The staff were very welcoming and helpful thorughout our brief stay.
Stayed in a courtyard room next the main building, THere was a small courtyard where you can sit away from the road and enjoy a quiet cup of tea (or something stronger). The main building also has a small lounge bar which is very pleasant (also great for watching the world cup!)
Breakfast was very good and set us up for our climb up the Cathedral Belltower.
Only slight niggle was the WiFi didn't quiet reach our room. When mentioned to the staff they apologised and immediately got onto their supplier to resolve the issue. I'm sure it's working fine now.

I booked this hotel for its value for money and it certainly was. I stayed for 2 nights. The location is great with the railway station only a 10 minute walk away. 2 good pubs and an Indian restaurant within walking distance. Stayed in a twin room, all facilities with tea and coffee, very good shower. I have stayed in a few 3 star and 4 star hotels that have been as good. A very good breakfast. I am looking forward to staying again next week for 3 nights when attending the golf open at hoylake.

Stayed over night and no real complaints.Friendly staff, small room but all the essentials, comfy bed, TV, clean shower and toilet,, tea and coffee making facilities, free WiFi, hairdryer etc. Location isn't that great, about a good ten minute walk to the center, oh and not the Hotels fault, but the town council decided to shut the road off on Sunday to resurface it, starting at 7am!!!

We felt at "home" during our recent stay and would have stayed another week if family hadn't begged us to come stay with them. The comfort was wonderful, location great for our visits with family within walking distance. Value was good. The breakfasts were very good and saved us money! We had 2 small children with us and found a park just across street behind the "Oakland's restaurant". All conveniences like banks, groceries and even launderette within walking distance for extended stays. Most of all "the Staff" was very friendly, helpful and accommodating!! I would stay here again the next time the opportunity presents itself and would recommend to anyone! We stayed in a "courtyard" room.

I stay at Chester court because of the location & value & I have stayed a few times. I choose to stay in the court yard rooms & I have not had any problems before. But room 10 lets the hotel down. Shared room with several spiders, room very dusty, no wifi signal, noisiest shower ever, however I did want to shower in my shoes, it couldn't of been cleaned previously. Scrubbing brush & mould spray needed urgently!!
I like this place, it's only a small detail and I will be back. Lovely girl who works breakfast & it's yummy!!! :)
