We didn't stay here, we where passing through and had heard that if you're in the area it's a must see!!!!???
We were so disappointed!!
For a drink and the stunning views definetly worth a look.
For a meal don't bother!!
Staff were rude and uninterested,
We sat at a table we had quite a few in our party we needed 2 more chairs, the waiter just stood whilst I went and carried over 2!!!
We had a baby who needed a high chair we had to ask for!! I felt very unwelcome. The food was not the best and very expensive. Overall not great!!!

Stayed at The Pheasant on a two day trip down memory lane with my family. It had been my Grandfather's favourite pub and my mother tells stories of sitting on the wall drinking pop, the aroma of the muck heap which then graced the courtyard in the air! Today, it is a beautiful pub with stunning views, delicious food, and, in our executive room for three, all the modern comforts we could have wished for under beamed ceilings. Will definitely be returning to do more of the walks in the vicinity. With our 6 year old (who has a cow fascination) we went to Beeston Castle Auction to watch calves being sold, the Cheshire Workshops (fantastic value for an afternoon's entertainment) and Beeston Castle. A superb stay - would heartily recommend to families and couples alike.

Room Tip: If travelling with a child, the Carden room is perfect, as you can sit at the bottom of the stairs...

It is hard to find any fault with the Pheasant Inn. The location is stunning whatever the weather, the building is well maintained inside and out. Staff are polite and helpful and there is a great atmosphere. Food is fresh, well cooked and well presented with an excellent menu choice that should suit most tastes. Unable to find any negatives.

What can I say other than what a pleasure it was to stay here. We stayed in the Tabley room and it was lovely with everything you would expect. The location of the Pheasant Inn is delightful especially on a sunny day giving amazing views. The food was brilliant there were 4 of us in our party and everyone really enjoyed every course they had. Our breakfast was just as good really good quality ingredients and I can highly recommend the salmon and scrambled egg ( Fab) . The Staff are lovely and friendly and I have to say it was faultless and we WILL definately go back .

Stayed at the Pheasant inn now three times and never disappointed, the staff are always welcoming. and most importantly no matter how busy the inn is you always get served quickly at the bar. As we arrived for our stay after a busy day watching the racing at Oulton Park we checked in which went efficiently and without any hitches as usual, we dropped our cases in our room which was spotlessly clean cosy and comfortable as expected. We sat outside as it was a lovely weekend taking in the most beautiful views as far as the eye could see sipping on our favorite wine. We where then taken in to the Inn for are prebrooked meal, which I must say was more than excellent I defiantly recommend the Lamb, we couldn't stop talking about the food the following day. So if you need a place to stay in Cheshire The Pheasant Inn comes highly recommended 5 star all round.

Room Tip: All rooms are excellent

My wife and I had set off from Delamere station (a bit short as the start is at Frodsham) to walk the Sandstone Trail stopping for the night at the Pheasant.
After about 15 miles it was a truly welcome sight .
I had booked the Eaton room which from the photograph of the front of the building is the window in the gable above the bar area.
The room was lovely with splendid views over the Cheshire plain. The first thing was to have a luxurious bath where I immersed myself and probably nodded off for a few minutes such was the tranquility of the place.
We ate in the restaurant later. I kicked off with the duck egg and asparagus soldiers, then skate wings with samphire, (more) asparagus and crushed new potatoes and crossed the line with a rhubarb Eton mess! Mrs S opted for the scallops and she thought them a little small but then landed a mighty sea bass with the same accompanying items as myself. She finished with an exquisite creme brûlée.
An NZ Sav Blanc helped things along particularly smoothly. Must also mention the cask ales are from the local Weetwood brewery and were in excellent form as I did refresh myself with a couple after the walk.
Sleep quality was very good although Mrs S said she could hear the bar conversation from below. I did not.
The following morning breakfast was freshly cooked so a little wait, but no matter when its of this quality. The menu was varied and no 'supplement' if you wanted something other then the full cooked. It set us for the next leg of the walk to Whitchurch which we were very glad of!
All the food is locally sourced which I'm always glad to see.
The Pheasant is recommended without hesitation, so go and try it for yourself. I wonder if the regal chap from Cheshire Life has been here, he must have, surely. Wonder what he thought?

Room Tip: Book a room with the to the west.

The pheasant inn is always a delight to visit on a sunny day; the beautiful views over the Chester plain are always a good start. They have planted flowers everywhere, which is a nice touch; the pub has a well looked after beer garden, which is ideal in the sun. Food is consistently top notch; do book ahead and enjoy!
