Firstly as you walk through the door the reception / bar area is pretty clean and comfortable .. very basic and as most hotels are - very over priced! £2 for a glass of coke poured from a bottle!
Had a bit of a debate about the price of the room and eventually settled for £55 for a standard twin although advertised in booking.com for £45.. anyways, we were given a key card and pointed in the direction of the room.
initial thoughts are that the whole sleeping quarters of the hotel are very dated, big need for a refurbishment and looked more like a big house really.
Rooms are very basic but funtional, tea and coffee facilities are provided as is a tv (which you have to request a remote for from reception bizarrely). Sound nights sleep, no noise and close to the city centre should you wish to enjoy the sites.
Overall I think it's overpriced for what it is, id class it more of a b&b but without the breakfast (unless you pay extra) but if you cant find anything else it will serve its purpose.
