Stayed at this hotel for a 40th birthday party that was in one of the function suites . Room was very modern with a nice bathroom albeit it was quite small however perfectly adequate for an over night stay.
We used the spa during the day which was very good except you get changed on one level then walk downstairs to the spa area which is a bit weird.
Lunch was ok in the bar however watch out for the price of the drinks , £4 a pint £5 for a G&T is very expensive . Breakfast was not the best of quality but was sufficient to soak up the excessives of the previous evening.
All in all not a bad hotel

We were visiting Chester for a weekend break and prefer to stay outside of the City. This hotel is convenient for city, zoo and park and ride.
Room was spotless. Bed huge. Breakfast ample.
Spa was superb

Spent two nights in the King Junior Suite. This is basically one huge room divided in the middle by a large flat screen TV which swivels between the bed and the sofa. So there isnt a lot of privacy if one of you is an insomniac. The walk-in shower with rain shower head is one of the largest I have ever been in. It i wonderful. Internet is free and fast. Normally there is a lot of free parking but we were there at the same time as TourBritann ia 2010 so we had to park on the lawn. Oh well, all those gorgeous classic cars made up for the hike. We used both pools in the spa both days we were there. They too were great, especially the first day when there werent any kids in the pool. Had a great steak at Marco Restaurant, although they were out of sirloin steaks which seems kind of peculiar in a steak restaurant. We were amazed that the staff remembered our names and used them. I have only two quibbles: no drawers to put our clothes into and the closet really only had room for clothes for one and the design of the bathroom sink - if you turn the faucet on too much or too fast, you are guaranteed to get soaked as the water swoshes up and over the rim.

I have stayed at this hotel before when it was the Hoole Hall and a very relaxing place to stay. It is now part of the Hilton chain. It still sits in beautiful grounds but has been expanded and modernized.
Lots of free car parking.
Our room was smallish but furnished to a good standard. The bathroom had been very well designed, very well presented with good quality fittings.
The full buffet breakfast was enjoyable with good support from the staff.
We even had a free glass of wine in the bar - nice touch
There is a bus stop just outside the hotel grounds, with buses every 20 minutes to Chester - excellent.

When in beautiful Chester, walk the walls and if you like Thai food eat at the Siam restaurant where we had an extremely tasty dinner.
