“Cosy hotel for a winter break”
Reviewed February 7, 2012

We really enjoyed our stay at Rowton Hall. On the coldest weekend of the winter it was warm and cosy throughout (we even had to turn the radiator in our room down), with a nice real fire in the very comfortable lounge. There was a good choice for breakfast. Dinner was only average, however - bits of gristle in the chicken 'amuse-bouche' and the game rather dry. Staff were friendly, but service in the restaurant just wasn't sharp enough - we even had to open our own wine (good job it was a screw top!). But the ambience was great, and the spa excellent. Good for a relaxing weekend.

My husband treated myself and our 3 daughters to a spa break at Rowton Hall. We had a fabulous time! The food and service in the hotel was excellent. The staff in the spa area were attentive and we thoroughly enjoyed the treatment packages that we selected.
The only time that we left the hotel was when we checked out!

We stayed at Rowton Hall last year to celebrate our wedding anniversary- 3 years to the day from when we got married there (which was exceptional incidentally). We wanted to stay in the suite we had for the wedding - unfortunately there was a wedding fayre in the hotel that evening and the room was open for viewings. Not a problem though - the owner had our luggage moved into the room whilst we had dinner - what a kind gesture and it made the stay even more special. Dinner in the restaurant was of superb quality and was excellent value for money. The suites are beautiful and well worth booking for a special occasion. We used the spa facility the following day which is excellent too. Overall we could find no fault in anything and our visit could not have been more enjoyable. Rowton Hall is a special place and well worth visiting. The owners clearly take great pride in their hotel and the attention to detail is fantastic.

Stopped here for a midweek one night bed, breakfast & evening meal. Located 2 mins drive from Boughton Heath park and ride so easy access to get into Chester centre.
Smooth check in/check from reception. Room was what you would expect from a 4*. Perfectly fine but nothing exceptional.
Food and service in the restaurant was exceptional both for the evening meal and breakfast. Extensive wine list. Nice lounge with open fire.
Would recommend this hotel and would stop there again

My daughter Bev and new husband Gray, got married at Rowton Hall on 28th December 2011, and what a fantastic day it was. After seening endless venues for the wedding, as soon as we arrived at Rowton Hall we just knew it was the one for us. It had a special feel about it. Tony the General Manager was professional, friendly and easy to approach. Nothing was too much trouble to sort out, and Ashlea, the Wedding co-ordinator was brilliant.
We stayed the night before the wedding and used the spa facilities which were wonderful and relaxing.
Breakfast was everything you could possibly want, and the waiters were very attentive.
One the day of the wedding we meet with Kurt, the "Master of ceremonies" and what a fantastic guy he was. He took all the worries out of our hands and did a magnificent job all day and evening. The food was amazing, and attention to detail was perfect. Thank you Tony and all the staff for a superb day. It will never be forgotten by us all.
